If your keys weren't loose you may not have lost them subby.

2014-05-14 05:51:20 PM
That's the problem with loosing your keys. Once you take them off the leash, there's no telling where the little bastards will run off to.

Farking looser. Maybe if you locked your phone and your car, and paid a modicum of attention to where you leave your keys you wouldn't get raped.

Then you wouldn't be so lose.

Unless it turns out this was just an insurance scam on the part of camera guy. How did they find his car after finding his keys?

It's also possible they are unrelated, just losing the keys causing him to leave the the car overnight in a sketchy area downtown, I have no idea how the area is though.

Because the submitter committed assault on a defenseless English language.  Using loose for lose will cost you a career track position with a Fortune 500 corporation and will lead to your children and grandchildren turning their backs to you in public.

If the keys had a remote on them, it wouldn't be hard. Just walk around hitting the panic button until you get a ringer.

Don't you watch cop shows? You just go around pressing the alarm thingy until something beeps.

I'm more interested in how they supposedly "hacked" his Facebook account. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is either a scam to elicit public sympathy and donations or somebody he knows really hates his guts. And by the way, a) did he find his keys (the article doesn't say), b) if so, where, and c) if so, how'd they manage to swipe the car without them? From their Facebook actions, they don't appear to be pros with the experience that would let them boost just any car off the street.

What a Fortune 500 CEO thinks:

We are going to loose 500 million dollars (OH NOES!  Mai company is in teh debts!)
We are going to lose 500 million dollars (Kawai!  We is investing! So money!  LOL!)

I didn't see it mentioned in the article, but someone in the comments said he also had a tablet among the items stolen.

Kid should save up and get into another hobby where he can shoot. Might keep some thieves at bay unless he's dumb enough to somehow lose his keys again, have his facebook info written down somewhere in his car, I dunno. Kid's an idiot in some ways if this is a completely honest account of what happened.

Insurance. It's handy. Document your belongings, keep dupes of the docs, and ensure that, when it comes time to report the theft, that you can pony up all the evidence anyone would ever need to both the cops and the adjusters. You get compensation, the thieves get (hopefully) screwed, and life goes on.
