"He's supposed to have somebody around him 24/7," Antonor Winston told USA Today. "He's a Heisman Trophy winner so (he's) definitely not supposed to be by (himself)."

Great googily moogily

I think a 24/7 prostitute would be more likely to keep him out of trouble.

So he's the next Josh Hamilton. That should go well.

This is the guy that's got crabs, right?

Wilbon said it best.  Shouldn't it be the dad's job to get Winston's head on straight?

He's right around the age where a kid thinks his parents are the dumbest people on the planet. His dad dropped the ball a few years back.

They used to have people who were responsible for children 24/7, they were called parents.

Even if you don't want to be a helicopter parent, it wouldn't take too much creativity or effort to set up a summer internship through the FSU sports management program to handle this.  Then you have free or low-cost helicopter parent by proxy.  Everyone's happy and if god willing the prospect doesn't go completely off the rails on a five state drug fueled killing spree, everybody wins.

Yeah, it sounds like the dad wants the school to make up for the fact that he didn't teach his kid about consequences and bad decisions.

A equals B.  Therefore B equals Legos.

Isn't this the guy that said he wasn't going to be like Johnny Football and be in the spotlight. By spotlight he must have meant police spotlight and luckily for him the Tallahassee police are the Dorfs of police departments.

Antonor Winston said the latest incident has made it clear to his son that the spotlight on him is growing only larger, and he hopes it alerts FSU that additional attention is needed.that his son is a dumbass who needs to be smacked around a bit.

The kid's name looks like a typo. I don't expect the next Dr. Oppenheimer out of someone who walks around with a legal name that looks like a farking typo.

That might involve doing something to discipline your son, but when your son is your meal-ticket, you probably want to avoid doing anything to piss them off.  Better to suggest to FSU that they surround your son with a team of butlers and advisers.

Where was his dad during the first 18 yrs of his upbringing?  Obviously, not around.  So , he now wants the state to "take care of his child" who has not morals or even knows right from wrong.

FARK YOU!  Just because you have a child who is "althelic and talented" doesn't mean you can have a free ride in life.    Get a real job and quit making babies you dumba$$.

/ I hate these type of people!
// they frost my balls!!
/// No, I don't have 3 but I'll provide 3 slashies!!!

This guy obviously dropped the ball faster than a UF receiver, but it's not a bad suggestion. It helped Patrick Kane when his mom was babysitting him in Europe and he cleaned up his act, and it could've helped JaMarcus Russell in Baton Rouge and Oakland.

My nominee...Jamies Winston's father.

his father is named Antonor.

he's a grown man and should be responsible for himself, but if a babysitter is the difference between him having a productive, lucrative football career and being a delinquent who spends considerable time in court or jail, then fine, that is what we will have to do.

You forgot to mention their predisposition to jazz music, marijuana and chicken. And that his mom is definitely on welfare and they have a Cadillac paid for with food stamps. Anything else i missed?

FSU should just do what Billy Donovan did with Scottie Wilbekin and make Jameis live with his parents.

So we're supposed to be suprised that a person who, due to his athletic abilities, has been told he is special and that rules don't apply to him since he was probably 8 years old, is not grounded in reality?  This is my shocked face   : /

Sure the dad deserves a lot of the blame, but dang, it's not as if the kid might have raped someone...oh wait...

How did he avoid a sexual assault investigation? I assume his accuser has contacted OCR? If not, she should:

The time period to file a Title IX complaint is really short, she may have been outside of it before the thing even hit the press.
