Lord Rayel must provide some really good shiat because that's some weapons grade stupidity.  Or he has some undiagnosed serious mental ilness.

Probably a little of both.  (Well a LOT of stupidity anyway). Dude had a possible career and threw it all away citing Lord Rayel.  Now he will probably live poor and nobody will ever remember him.  It's his life though and he can chose how to live it.

"I don't like being a slave to money or coaches," Muema told ESPN on Tuesday. "I prefer an individual sport."

Me thinks he hasn't done very much research on professional fighting. Plus he's crazy.

No mention of boxing or grappling experience. If he indeed has none, he has ZERO idea what he's getting himself into.

Or stupid, considering he was part of an entity that, you know, involved coaching.

I read the article.

And wtf with spending 3 days in an airport?

Yeah, football players going into MMA with no experience always ends well.

I mean, it worked out great for Michael Westbrook and Johnnie Morton

I found it interesting that the Seahawks actually drafted one of Muema's college teammates. Might make the reunions a little awkward.

Next week, God tells him to go into real estate.

Muema also chose not to work out at SDSU's Pro Day in March and Tweeted numerous times in the past six months about his belief in Lord Rayel, a person on the Internet who proclaims to be God. Muema said he opted not to work out at the Combine because Lord Rayel told him he would get drafted by the Seahawks if he passed on the workout.

Since Lord Rayel was wrong, doesn't that mean he should lose his faith in him?

You clearly don't understand how this faith thing works.

He just needed to not work out harder.

What is an "Adam Muema" and how long has it been in the fridge? It smells a bit...off. I don't think you should eat it.

This older article sheds some light on what may have triggered his apparent mental illness...

Remember reading a while back that genetic predisposition + head trauma = Crazyasfark

This could be a classic case study in that.

I am sure God told him to go to MMA.

This is likely to end in a couple wins against two or three poor schlubs who have no business being in competitive sport at all, followed by a disastrous outing on Ultimate Fighter.

I posted it before and I'll post it again:

His behavior is not that of a fundamentalist, nor that of an indecisive person.  He's showing all of the outward signs of schizophrenia.  He needs help, and those close to him should really push to get him that help.

I think the real problem here is how blurred that line has become.

This guy's career is going to be interesting to watch, right up to the long prison term for whatever it ends up as.
