Not sure Conservatives get to tell ANYone to "get over it" considering the last five years after two legitimate elections...

Al Gore is complaining about too much money in politics, Al Gore is correct to complain about it.

"If what scientists have warned us about is not interrupted - storms, droughts, hurricanes, the loss of hope - [future generations] will be justified in asking: 'What were you thinking? Were you just watching "Dancing With the Stars?" '" Gore said.

On a somewhat less silly note, said future generations probably won't know "Dancing With the Stars" as a reference.

The problem with democracy is that the majority of people are not particularly intelligent. A more specific problem with modern democracy is that people assume that democracy means that their ignorant opinion is just as valid as someone's learned one.

The average member of the House and Senate has to spend five hours per day begging rich people for money. Begging rich interests for money!

It's a travesty that this is not only legal but accepted and encouraged.

Well, and this might be strange to you, other countries don't have our political problems because they modified their democracies over the years to be more and more responsive to the voters, instead of allowing everything to stagnate behind 100 year old rules. So if we modernized our democracy we could then use the massive amounts of manpower, resources and time that the government has and focus them on things like our crumbling infrastructure, outdated tax code, bloated military, encroachment on privacy rights and anything else current politicians like talking about, but can't actually do anything to fix.

Lobbying is illegal in India.  They consider it bribery.
