(Talking Points Memo)   "When Biden attacks" The squeal of the Bird's tires, the look of Joe in shades, the gathering of Joe's gang of bros. Why they're snapping their fingers and prancing around to show tunes is anyone's guess. Look out, Hillary. It's a fake out   ( divider line

Perhaps the Democrats should spend the next several months banding together to convince people to vote in November, so as not to turn the legislative branch entirely over to Republicans who've recently turned "moderate" into a synonym for "evil".

THEN maybe they can set their fangs on each other for the 2016 election.

SeriousGeorge: I seem to remember that not long after Obama was elected that there was something of a consensus around here that Biden, while well-intentioned, is a bit of an idiot. Why would anyone want him as president?

His performance in the VP debate in 2012 demonstrated his political acumen. His speech on grief (this is really worth watching if you haven't seen it) to the families of dead servicemen showed he has a heart and his response to the Onion's take on him shows that he's not priggish and can take a joke. He's shown the public he's a good guy - which is a big achievement in a presidential run. Now he needs to show he has the policy chops.

jigger: whidbey: I would definitely pick Joe over Hillary.

I didn't think you'd be the "tough on crime", "the cops are always heroes", "we need more people in prison", "nothing Israel does is ever wrong" type.

My guess is you're probably cherrypicking quotes either out of context or from years ago.

Either way, your concern is noted.
