"Shut up, John Hawkins, you fat hack" - BunkoSquad, net worth $67.48

Show me any of these rich liberals trying to cut programs designed to help the poor and middle class so that they can cut their own tax rate.

Having trouble?   It's OK, I'll wait.

If this tub of lard wants to make it big in the right-wing propaganda circuit (tv, radio, books), he needs to hit the treadmill.

Your blog sucks.

Amazingly, some people can make a lot of money without developing an insatiable thirst for more, more, more at any cost. Filthy libs have never had an issue with rich people, just rich assholes.

"See you're just as sh*tty as we are!"

Keep working that "messaging" plan, GOP.  Our "misconception" of you hasn't been totally wiped out yet.

This.

It's really amazing that any time anyone ever starts talking about how the ultra rich are hoarding money, the response from the right usually is "you're just jealous" or "why do you begrudge a man of the money he earns?"

2014-05-14 09:23:26 AM
The difference between the rich liberals and the rich conservatives are that the rich liberals think their taxes should be higher so that people don't starve and we don't destroy our environment.  The rich conservatives are seeking ways to dump more money on the pile.

Get back to me when they openly and actively work to prevent everyone else from getting rich.

They're both looking to dump more money on the pile; that's not really a difference.

2014-05-14 09:26:43 AM
What kind of demented logic is this crap?  Why can't a wealthy person look at their peers and think "Wow these are some greedy assholes?"

When Warren Buffet supports an economic idea perhaps you should think why he supports it before dismissing it.

/Also that blog sucks out loud.

I prefer the term LIMOZEEN LIBS.

Roseanne Barr. Net Worth: 80 Million.
Jon Stewart. Net worth: 80 million.
Michael Moore. Net Worth: 50 Million.

These people are just selfishly looking out for their own interests, these entertainers if that's what you libs want to call them all need a middle class with discretionary spending money so they can go to their "comedy" shows and view their "documentaries". I mean come on, wake up sheeple, by advocating that people like you have more income and lower taxes and better social programs it just means you can purchase entertainment from these jerks! how does that make you feel to just be a pawn in their game? checkmate libtards.

This is just like how Al Gore doesn't really think climate change is real because he doesn't live naked in a mud hut.

Well, we also have a problem with a level of government intervention that enables positive feedback loops on wealth, where wealth breeds wealth more than your own utility to the economy breeds wealth.  If we're gong to accept the common assumption that you should work for what you have, there shouldn't be a back door to that equation by having a lot to begin with.

Even in a world where every single rich person is a nice person, that's still mechanically and ethically important.

Since the focus has been put on the Koch Brothers by Dems, they are trying to do the same with liberal billionaires.

Well, first off, according to conservatives, all liberals are moochers, who do not want to work, and want to rely on government handouts. Did government gave them billions? How did these people become billionaires in conservative logic?

Secondly, lets look at some of the goals of these people. Most of them targets things like income equality, global warming, polio eradication and things like that. How do they benefit from them personally? They don't.

On the other hand, what is the goal of Koch brothers? Sale more guns and earn more money from energy business. Their goals are to directly make money for themselves.

I'm not saying there are exception to these rules, but this is true in general. How do conservatives explain that?

2014-05-14 09:29:58 AM
The folks in the article are for the most part on the record as being happy and willing to pay higher tax rates.  Once again, an American right wing "thinker" is using a grossly simplistic worldview.

2014-05-14 09:31:01 AM
4) "These billionaire oil tycoons (the Koch brothers) are certainly experts at contributing to climate change. That's what they do very well. They are one of the main causes of this." -  Harry Reid from the senate floor. Net worth:5 million

Actually, 5 million in net worth is nowhere near to being "filthy rich" these days. Certainly nowhere near enough to buy your own outcomes.

Right? Jesus farking Christ. These farking people have no forward looking agenda, and all they're left with is raw, naked greed.

You know what else? I thought obsessing about what other people have was a passtime for jealous, poor libruls.

It's like someone intentionally finds the stupidest possible criticisms and critics to post here for mocking instead of finding intellectually honest and factual criticicisms for real debate.

2014-05-14 09:31:14 AM
Hmmm....I'm getting the feeling that the author finds hypocrisy in liberal positions because some liberals that hold these positions have acquired wealth, thus making both sides bad.  I wonder what his suggestion would be for which party I should subsequently  vote for?

PS.  Repulsive tub of human excrement submits unmarked sponsored link, covers internet in shiat.  Film at 11.

This.  In becoming that rich you are bound to ruin many lives and put everything else on the back burner. God, your ethics, humanity, your soul. Cracks me up really. I picture these guys their death bed, insisting that their money is taken care of.. "make sure it's safe"....up until the very last. Virtue, forbearance, mercy, faith, doesn't even make it into the equation.

sure, there's the rich-white-guy-demographic and the poor-white-guy-all-day-sucker demographic and the temporarily-embarrassed-millionaire-white-middle-class-rube demographic and the super-religious-white-people demographic.

Ugh, I clicked on the link to see who he was talking about, and now I feel not only dirty but also stupider for the effort. Just so nobody else has to go through that, Hawkins has the following people on his list:

Roseanne Barr
Harry Reid
Barack Obama
Nancy Pelosi
Michael Moore
Jon Stewart
Elizabeth Warren

I thought he was going to be talking about guys like Tom Steyer or Bill Gates, you know, actual businessmen, instead of just famous people who have lots of money (like most famous people in our society).

In any case, I was going to respond that even rich people can be of two minds about how to profit. They can go the old supply-side route, where they push for lower taxes and less regulation so they can do whatever they want without paying for negative externalities or for social stability; OR, they can be like some people who see the big picture, who get that if we can get more rich people to fund social programs, and give poor people the actual means to survive without resorting to crime, wage-slavery, or unmanageable debt, there will be more paying customers for everybody to do business with.

Yes. There are rich, white, Christians males; wealthy, Anglo-saxon, Protestant men and prosperous, melanin deficient, evangelical gentlemen.

Just about everybody you see on tv or read about in the news is rich. It's hard to grasp at first, but you get used to it. We worship the rich and care little for anyone else's opinion.

Look at, say, millionaire Bill Maher's weekly panel. Ever see anyone on that panel who makes $40k? The hosts on the View? Guests on the Tonight Show? Ever see a poor person get an hour with Charlie Rose?

We have our poor folks forum, and you're looking at it. And mostly we just discuss the rich.

First off, you haven't exactly promoted intellectually honest debate around here.

Secondly, Hawkins have never in his life of creating shiatty whiny lists even attempted to practice intellectual honesty.

But I will give you a chance. Please give the class an example of intellectual criticism or support for the authors points about rich liberals.

Liberals are against greed, not wealth.

I think that quote from Roseanne might be kind of old. Her hard-on these days isn't really for rich, but for crooked bankers. At least from what I've heard out of her recently.

Why do rich liberals need to be taxed to help the needy?   What's preventing them from donating most of their wealth to the poor?  Big Republican meanies?
