I can click on how many webpages in the time it takes to travel to a McDs, order a burger and eat it?

I love the Wayback Machine. The other day my daughter was given an assignment to read an article on the web, and answer a bunch of questions about it. She tried to go to the site, and got a 404 error. I tried it on my computer; also 404 -- the page was gone. She gleefully remarked that she couldn't do the assignment then. At this point, I introduced her to the Wayback Machine. Plugged in the URL, and badda bing, there was the page in full glory. Back to work, kid!

I found a mid-90's flame war I was involved in tech company's Yahoo discussion group.  It was about 6 months before the company missed estimates.  There were a bunch of fanbois cheering the stock on and there was I with my two puppets and a couple other naysayers on the other side.  Lard, what a waste of time.

I'm glad I learned my lesson, over to the Politic tab.

So, now with the EU court ruling against Google, will they also need to do individual scrubbings? Time to put that shipping container on a Google~Barge and tow it someplace hidden!

I made that the homepage to a not-so-tech-savvy ex-friend who was constantly asking for help.

/Haven't heard from her in a long time.
