Like movie monsters, they never truly die and just keep coming back again to kill.

I should also point out that this is Nebraska. A state so frighteningly Red that a guy with a steel jaw, chainsaws for hands, wearing a necklace made from human baby skulls, and the name Ivan Von DeathMonster could win there so long as he had an "-R" next to his name.

How many GOP Senate candidates are wiping out the war chests simply to keep the Derpbarians from the primary gates?

The GOP took a giant step to the right to squash the Tea Party.

Yes we know

Thanks

I don't think that's a thing anymore. There's always going to be well heeled anonymous backers now.

Meh. The GOP was going to win NE either way. Let them have their token derper or two.

It's the battleground states that matter. A few more Todd Aikens in places where idiocy is actually a disadvantage could be a huge problem. But that's not happening.

No. No expression has ever started with that.

His tower isn't made from the hippy, liberal ivory.  It's completely constructed out of bootstraps and Ronald Reagan's chest hairs.  And if you mention Fartbongo's name when you're inside of it a PA system plays 'sad trombone.'

It's not, and in a lot of cases pressure was applied to donors and supporters to not let those tea candidates out of the gate.

This has been a thing happening for months - the GOP is serious about maintaining discipline and taking control of the senate.

And it's likely going to happen. But I wouldn't expect a more reasonable GOP. The Tea Party will still be wagging the dog from its position of power in the republican house.

Expect more Benghazi, and possibly an impeachment for something or other in the next two years.

Let's be fair....the best thing about "Nebraska" is that it gave Springsteen a name for an album of murder ballads.

Ha! We shall see my friend, we shall see. Around here we farmers always live by the phrase "next year."  A drought is inevitable in that area, couple that with the lack of rotating crops (because hurrrrr-durrrr-hurrr) allowing insects to feast on bio-corn, crap soil, and this little guy below, the mouth-breathers are toast. If its not this year, it will be next. Then they'll come begging for help...as always.

Midland University is a liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We hold the following core values to be the foundation of our identity as a community.
Faith - We believe as a college of the Lutheran tradition that faith and learning are inexorably linked. We believe that the exploration of faith and religion is an essential human endeavor.

Establishment Republicans are off-the-rails crazy these days. It's nearly impossible to tell the difference betwixt the teabaggers and regular cons.

I'll vote for Ivan Von Deathmonster (R) any day though. This country needs change. Even if that change is for your head to go from attached to your neck to rolling on the floor.
