I've always felt that what Jackson probably did with minors was certainly "inappropriate," but didn't cross the line into "molestation," and that his inappropriate behavior made him an easy target for parents looking to score some quick money off of him. I think he was a very sick person surrounded by yes-men who were more interested in getting paid than in helping him. But the mind and human sexuality are more complex than just "normal, or child molester."

He definitely had his childhood robbed from him by his dad and his career, and I always felt like Neverland Ranch and having kids around him all the time was just about him acting like a kid and trying to get his childhood back. The name Neverland implies never growing up, of course. Most of the claims against him prior to this were about him in bed with kids (not sex, but more like kids having a slumber party), giving them wine, showing them porn, which again doesn't mean sex, it's just not appropriate for an adult and it's probably "contributing to the delinquency of a minor," etc. Basically, all shiat that if MJ was also a minor, nobody would think anything more about it beyond kids just being bad. What 12 year old didn't show his friends a Playboy he found in his big brother's room, or steal some booze from the pantry, etc.? The only (big) difference here was MJ was an adult.

HOWEVER, if Jackson was fondling a kid in a Jacuzzi, then yeah that's molestation.

Michael Jackson trifecta in play? Or just the prequel to a real undead version of Thriller?

Stop it, just stop it.  There is no reason, none, for any child to beable to identify the penis of a grown man by the markings he recalls seeing on it.

I came to much the same conclusion after his death.  When they started talking about that accident with the Pepsi commercial, the one where his head was scalded, a lot of things fell into place.  He wasn't a creepy child molester, he was an adult who never had a childhood and instead came away with CPTSD most likely, with said craziness further compounded by a heavy painkiller addiction and an unexpected diagnosis of Vitiligo.

South Park got it right: Jackson's biggest problem was that he never grew up.

That would be SUPER compelling if it wasn't for the part where that claim was never proven, and really was all but disproven.  I mean, multiple people who examined him literally couldn't agree whether or not the markings matched.  That shouldn't be that hard to figure out.  As a bonus, the kid claimed Jackson was circumcised, but his autopsy revealed that he wasn't.

When Johnny Cochran, the attorney that would eventually go on to get OJ Simpson off for butchering two people, tells you to pay $25 Million to shut the kid and his family up, it's because you have NO CHANCE of winning.

His entire family, his managers, agents, and household staff all relied on him for their livelihoods. I'll buy that he may have molested a kid or two, but I doubt he was some serial molester. At least one of those people would've been smart enough to keep him in line after the first allegation.

Emmanuel and McCauley say he never molested them. I doubt a molester is gonna hang out with the two sexiest children in show business and not try anything.

2014-05-14 01:41:40 AM
Will I sound way too cynical and bored if I suggest that if this all happened in 1987 and Jackson's been dead for five years and this guy suddenly joined a civil suit that was filed by another person just recently and in the wake of a massive court battle over Jackson's money by his family....

...that this just reeks of a cash grab by someone with dollar signs in his eyes who has not the slightest concern for "the children" and who likely  had nothing at all happen to him; but who just wants his slice of the Jackson pie?

I'm sorry, but there was a reason why molestation cases used to be barred by the statute of limitations, and this is it: if you can't get something together in 25 years AND the guy who molested you is dead--I can't be expected to believe anything really happened that was so awful you need monetary compensation.
