I have two facial recognition dogs which do the same thing for me, anyone they don't know gets barked at which notifies me to get up and look out my window to see whom it is........kinda old school I know but it works for me & I suspect the "smart doorbell" would be cheaper then the dogs.........k/dar

Will it tell the religious nuts to go away before I can chase them off with my gun?  That would be worth it just to save all the visits from the cops.

Downside: The logs are a little messier...

Stops Terminators, so it has that advantage over Sky net controlled security.

Upside - police won't shoot your doorbell.

I saw an advertisement for Chui masquerading as "news" on either NBC or CBS.

Having a camera in your doorbell is a good idea.

Unlocking your front door remotely over the internet is a horrible idea.  I've seen both Comcast and AT&T advertising such features recently.

This is for people who are just begging to have their doorbells hacked and their homes robbed.

I know, burglars could just go all old school and break a window - it's happened to me before, but I see no reason to give them even better options.  Breaking glass is noisy and they might get cut.  Actually, good burglars can just take a small chip out of your window and unlock it without too much fuss.  That's what happened the last time someone attempted to burglarize my home.  Good thing I had an alarm system.

Fun fact:  The cops still write it up as Breaking and Entering even if they didn't actually enter.

It must have been frigid under those blazing studio lights. That one guy was wearing a ski hat!

Face all shiny from sweat, but way too cool to take off your dooshy hipster hat.
