Oh. I thought the Cavs had fired Mike Brown again, making him kind of like the Billy Martin of basketball.

Not too surprising. The team had too much talent to not be a playoffs team this year. He lost the locker room along with Kyrie and it was pretty much over for him. This guy owns his career to Lebron.

Kinda weird how they were able to land Luol Deng for practically nothing, yet they didn't improve at all while the Bulls, who subsequently gave away their best active all-around player for nothing, actually improved and over-achieved over the rest of the regular season.

Sort of answers the "hmm, I wonder who's the better coach between Mike Brown and Tom Thibodeau?" question...well, for those horrendously naïve enough to even ask such a thing in the first place.

And Luol Deng gave us some insight as to what's going on behind the scenes in Cleveland:  Link

Firing Mike Brown from a HC position is never a mistake.

Some guys are just made to be assistants and may be great at it, but it doesn't mean they'll be good head coaches.

/if I were a coach, I'd be a much better assistant than head guy

This is surprising, given the high level of quality we've come to expect from Cleveland sports teams.

I'm going to respectfully disagree.
Anderson Varejao will never give you a full season.
Other than Kyrie, they drafted poorly over the last couple of seasons.
Bynum is CancerAIDs.
And this isn't even discussing the fact that Waiters and Kyrie actively hated each other from day 1.

They had a chance with last year's #1 pick to get Oladipo and have a killer backcourt for a decade.  Instead they went for the stupid and selected Michael Bennett who didn't do much this year.

Being hired as the Cavs' coach is a mistake in itself.
