Charlie Freak: Very cool, breathtaking, really.The One Thing holding full-on AI back is that they still have to use position markers for the optics to discern an object's physical properties. Once that's figured out, all bets are off.
Tr0mBoNe: It simplifies things. A computer can detect edges and contrast like our eye does but not in real time without all of the processing power. It also is pretty tough to get a computer to focus; they are easily distracted by flashing lights or philosophical quandary.
