I bet you feel pretty foolish treating it like an idle threat now, don't you?

There is only one Korea.
The Supreme Leader simply wants to remove the western backed imperialistic oppressors currently illegally occupying the southern half of the country and reunite the peninsula into the glorious worker's paradise its people cry out for it to be.

I was living in Ganghwa, a little island just west of Incheon, when North Korea shelled Yeonpyeong in November of 2010. I showed my co-teacher the news footage and he just shrugged and said, "Maybe war." Then he went about his business like nothing was wrong.

aww, little boy wants to play war because he sees the big boy next door doing it.

This Choco Pie crisis will get out of hand, and we'll be lucky to live through it.

Kim Jong Fun might even lose a pound or two.

Sadly China would have a problem with it.

They have been making that threat for a very long time.  I am starting to suspect they can't really do it.

Just you watch! We are totally going to do it this time! Yeah, I'm f*cking serious! It's about to get real now, son! You'll see! You'll be laughing out of the bullet hole in your neck, boy!

Can't we just have Seal Team 6 secretly enter the country and take out Fearless Leader and his cronies?

It's amazing that any modern military could just blow him up at a moments notice and he still keeps running his mouth.

There's nothing to nuke in that country. That's probably what they want so they can blame all the deaths of the people they've already killed on the US, after-all Best Korea knows that Dems/Libs would eat that shiat up especially if a Republican was President.

Don't raise your blood pressure, you might have a stroke.

The North's powerful National Defense Commission called the South Korean comments an "intolerable" provocation that showed the South wants to take over the North.

Trust me, they have no desire to do that. Your county is a social and economic basket case. Just the cost of caring for the millions of physically and mentally farked-up North Koreans would be staggering.

The point is that no military, modern or otherwise, is going to blow him up.  The only military he has to fear is his own because they probably find him useful to ensure their well being and when he begins rambling on about a military shake up he would be the only thing shaken up.

He knows that they couldn't do that without a MAJOR international incident. While Lil' Kim is annoying and a really horrible fate imposed on his people, he's better than a war involving the U.S., South Korea, Japan and China. Not to mention, blowing him up isn't that easy unless you go to nuclear weapons. We tried to kill Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gaddhafi with our modern military, and just wound up blowing up some of their relatives.

They aren't making the threat for our benefit. They do it to keep their country at a state of readiness for war, which distracts them from the crushing poverty, while telling them that our peasants have it much worse.

I'm waiting for some politician to go off publicly about just how miserable a little dinky country NK is and why nobody in their right mind would invade it because it'd suck all the life out of any economy that absorbed it like a black hole.

I think I rather see the top 200 leaders in North Korea undergo Scanners-style head explosions. The regular people in North Korea have been through enough and don't deserve any more misery than they've already been through.

I expect that we already have the technology to have a miniature drone mosquito land on the fattie and cronies with a little poison bite and wipe out senior leadership. Tom Cruise already played a Samurai. With his Mission Impossible background he could get it done.

Kidnap him. Chain him to Bieber and toss them in a snake pit.
Toss in some fire ants, spiders, and a few scorpions.
Sell tickets to watch. Put it on pay TV.
Buy everyone in North Korea a year's worth of groceries with the proceeds.

If you had to undo the systemic brainwashing, where would you even start? Just pointing out the obvious... could be next year, could be in two centuries, but someday that question will need to be answered.

Do you pick an age (8 years old, 12 years old, 15 years old), and separate the citizens into two societies? Like let everyone over age X live out the rest of their days in a semi-insular bubble - similar to NK's societal structure, just with better nutrition and medical care? And then everyone under X gets deprogrammed, assigned new host families, and integrated back into the rest of the Earth?
