that is the worst sentence ever constructed.

Another indicator is that you require a body of water acting as a moat to keep your cats from leaving you.

And I just RTFA, and it's more like a floating animal shelter, so there goes the crazy cat lady angle.

That's really pretty damn nice.

Yay for people who care!

Cats hate water. We all know that.

No, they don't.  My Mom's cat wades in her dog's water bowl, and will lie in the sink and let you turn on the taps full blast and not budge.

I have two cats, and they will meow quite loudly for me to turn on the tap in the bathroom sink, so they can stick their heads under to drink from it. I think it's running water they like, not pools or full bathtubs.

You might want to look into a drinking fountain for them. You can find a few of them made specifically for cats on the interwebs.

Nah, her cat lies in the sink and lets you run the taps over it at full-tilt.  There are some cats who DO like pools.  Look on Youtube and you can see some domestic cats even swimming in bath tubs.

My 8 month old cat will share a bath with the kids.  If they fill up a tub, He'll wait til they are just about done, then bomb into it and then chill for a bit.

I have looked into it, but I'm afraid that they would ignore it and still want in the bathroom sink. They'd probably love the box it comes in, though.

Supposedly Turkish Van love the water and will willingly swim in lakes, etc.

I have seen cats swimming in pools and bathtubs, it's hi-larious! From the looks on their faces, I can't tell whether they are enjoying it or are petrified!

I have one for my three.  They love it.  Reasonably inexpensive things, around $35 for a good one.

15 or so years ago I had a cat that loved water. Would get in the shower with anyone who would let him, would play under a sprinkler, sit and play in his water dish.  I joked that he liked being wet more than being dry.

At least they look taken care of, not the 85 cats in a trailer thing.

I think it varies.  My idea of punishing my cat was to get my hands wet and flicking drops of water in her face.  She hated that.

It may have been mean, but it was guaranteed to stop her from whatever she was doing that was annoying me.  I miss her a lot.

Yeah, it definitely varies.  I have my own cat and he hates water.  My Mom's dog is not small and for her cat to go wading in a large bowl of water is definitely somewhat unusual, although definitely not unheard of.

Of course I have seen this also, and all I can tell you that is that if nobody is holding them in there that they must be enjoying it. :)

My younger cat would wait outside the litter box for my older cat to finish, then he would jump on her. As you can imagine, she really didn't appreciate this, so I would use my spray bottle on the stream setting and squirt him if he even looked like he was going to go near the box with her in it. I would almost completely soak him at first, but eventually all I had to do was hold the bottle up and point it at him, and he would run. Good deterrent with him.

De Pozenboot!  It's actually a cat shelter.  Very adorable.
