Are we supposed to hate Russia or EA in this thread?

Just looking at the screenshots I would ban it because it looks farking boring.

"Hey Timmy, what game do you want, the one where you can kill zombies and aliens and terrorists and Jehova's Witnesses with guns and katanas and crossbows and shiat "?

"No Dad, I want the game where I can build a house and start a family and decorate that house and buy baked goods!"

"Well I'm sorry but that game is banned because it might turn kids gay but it looks like it's too late anyway."

I really can't cheer on a bunch of soulless psychopaths attempting to enslave the world, so I will go with the Russians.

So are they banning children from playing it or banning children within Sims 4?

FTA

The upcoming game has received a "mature" rating in the country, meaning that only people over the age of 18 can buy it.

When did HuffPo become Infowars?

No, Russia would never ban kid Sims. Russia loves kids. It's the world capital of child porn.

What's up with Russia's collective fear?   It seems like they have a collective scapegoat for their frustrations.    That is the tactic of cults and dictators.

Kids in Sims 3 are always burning down my house.

Why don't you go ask Tipper Gore that? Maybe Hillary?

Sure deny history and don't look at the games you buy but Russia is the ebil again.

Someone should point out to Russia that being terrified of gay people makes them look insanely weak and kinda stupid.

Hating on gay people is about the least masculine thing that you can do, rather than what I'm sure Putin wishes we thought of him.

Why can't Tipper Gore be completely wrong and Russia be wrong also?

Well, I have you mark as cool and not smart for a reason I guess, eh. Also why the fark do you think you should care about the internal politics of another Sovereign Nation?

Oh, and you sound young as does the idiot that think Tipper had any pull in 88 hell we still had Nancy.

/When it comes to Russia all that propaganda you were fed way back kicks right back in, sad.No it's not a nice country but well until not that long ago I could have been arrested for sex in the US. Oh I got an idea let's do more sanctions , it worked in Cuba right?

I didn't know 4 was coming out so soon. I remember seeing about 80 expansions for Sims 2 in the stores back in the day. Never saw nearly as many for 3. Thought they would still try to milk that cow for awhile. The first game was fun though. I might give it another spin. I always thought it was kind of fun making Scooby Doo walk around and catch the house on fire. Or download the dungeon wallpaper someone else made and lock the kids in the basement.

Well, Russia just about collectively shiat itself when Conchita won Eurovision, so maybe its for the best. I eventually just had to tell my students I didn't know who won or cared since I am an American, just so they would shut up about it.

I remember Tipper very well. I watched Frank Zappa rip her a new asshole on TV. So, no, I'm not young. And yes, you could have been arrested for just having sex recently. Just like my step-father. But that had nothing to do with Tipper. Tipper Gore was nothing more than a busy-body with access to her husband's name. She had no real power.

And no, I do not think sanctions will work. Getting Putin and his religious cronies out of power will be the only thing that even begins to turn that country around.

Why should I care about the internal politics of another sovereign nation? That's a serious question? How about because people like you are being harassed, jailed and even murdered because of said politics? How about because the rampant corruption has lead to the wholesale sexual exploitation of children? Should I not care about these things? Should I just shrug my shoulders and not care that Russia is demonizing homosexuals as a cheap ploy to distract the people from the real problems in that country? Should I ignore the fact that ultra-conservatives and religious nutters my country are looking at what Putin is doing and wishing they had the same power to use against people like you? Are you nuts?

I don't deny that Tipper Gore, Nancy Reagan, and Hillary Clinton abused their positions as politicians wives (and no, I will not vote for Hillary of she runs in 2016). But to equate their episodes of head-up-their-own-asses with Russia is hyperbole and stupid.

And thanks for the ad-hom. It's always appreciated.

Once I had made a pair of lesbians in Sims 1 the series no longer kept my interest.

Turns out you couldn't have kids in the house if you wanted people to shack up.

Hey, another Putin apologist! How is Russia not deserving of criticism for this kind of nonsense again? Tipper is really your excuse? Who defended her?

I had a Google for new features in the Sims 4, and almost all results were from 2013 and guesses. It's been released already, shouldn't someone have written about it? It seems the only new feature I found in my 1 minute Googling was that people can now do two things at once. The graphics look identical. That seems... pointless.

That's your mistake. The Sims isn't made for Timmy, it's made for Jane.

Ah you're right. I misread the blurb.

If recent history is any guide anybody buying the Sims 4 should expect to only have enough room to build half of a house.

If your son wants to play "The Sims" instead of "First Person Zombie Massacre", just let it go man. He already has the ghey.

And if your daughter catches it... can I watch?

Oh they made plenty of expansions, they just weren't distributed as widely to encourage people to use Origin.
