hmm. increasing likelihood, eh? last i saw, dems were up or at least neck-and-neck in arkansas, kentucky and georgia.

To counter this, the Republicans will continue in community destruction.

We should elect more Republicans. That will really fix things in this country.

Silver had a 60% chance of the DNC losing the Senate but that was before Obamacare started enrolling a shiatload of people, before U3 dropped to 6.3%, southern GOP Senators struggling and before Obama's own poll numbers showed signs of improving.

I like the current vector.

If you and a group of friends stand in a dark bathroom at midnight with the lights off and stare into the mirror and chant "community organizer" five times in unison, you'll see the ghost of ACORN appear behind you.

Actually going out there and talking with actual americans, who can't butter my bread, and listening to their concerns, then explaining how I hope to address them? It's terrifying!

A new study suggests that only 26 percent of enrollees didn't have insurance before. That's not good for rates since such a small number are new contributors to the risk pool.

Let's put the insane foxnews spin aside.... that seems like a huge amount of people.

Sounds like somebody didn't like the news this morning and needed to get some counterspin ramped up

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/poll-senate-races-arkansas-geo rg ia-kentucky....

A round of new polls shows Democrats in three high profile Southern Senate races in surprisingly good shape.
The polls, from NBC News and Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, as well as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, show the Democrats in Arkansas, Georgia, and Kentucky either leading their expected Republican opponents or running essentially neck-and-neck with them.

If they get the senate, the republicans will impeach Obama for the crime of not being republican.

And just like in 2012 and 2010 the GOP will say something incredibly stupid and offensive and torpedo their chance.

I'm not sure what the issue is here.  Everyone knows that the minority party controls the Senate through the filibuster process, just as the founders intended.

When Fox says something, I'm immediately inclined to think the opposite while looking for a new source. When Fox says it's "increasingly likely" that Republicans will win enough seats to take over the Senate, I will doubt it for the same reasons that MSR posted.

They'd still need to get 2/3 of the votes in the Senate to convict, and that doesn't seem remotely possible

Part of me thinks that America needs to be reminded of what a congress controlled in both houses by the GOP actually produces.  The last instance ran from 2003 to 2007.  Good times.

Saiga410: I dont know about community organizing but I do expect to be deluged with report after report by TPM, C&L and Kos of obscure republican local officials making inarticulate and offensive comment on rape and other issues.

If I remember correctly, a majority of those rape comments, and probably all of them, were made by people in public office or people seeking it. Just because we have a large number of local, state, and national public officials does not make any of their comments irrelevant. But do continue to try and argue that they do.

Reminds me of the comic where two people try to convince a third person who they should vote for. One offers good things while the other admits horrible things, all with the guy still undecided. It ends with the horrible one peeing on the undecided who still can't come to a decision.

well that certainly is a relief.
