BiffDangler: I actually had the theme song played by the orchestra at my first wedding.  Seriously.

This is why I only attend first weddings.

Restaurant manager: What do you think, Waiter 1?
Waiter 1: I think this building should be condemned. There's serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members, the wiring is substandard, it's completely inadequate for our power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone.
Waiter from Barcelona: Hey. Does this pole still work?
[slides down a fireman's pole]
Waiter from Barcelona : Wow. This place is great. When can we move in? You gotta try this pole. I'm gonna get my stuff. Hey. We should stay here. Tonight. Sleep here. You know, to try it out.
Restaurant manager: I think we'll take it.

Also ...

Waiter from Barcelona: I give you my word as a Spaniard?
Restaurant manager: No good. I've known too many Spaniards.

In other unrelated news, hotel owner decided to stop making payments to hotel inspectors.

blindio: gopher321: I don't get subby's headline reference. Also, can you hear me? I live under a large rock on Mars.

The reference is to a sitcom about a country inn that is run by a man and his wife and is frequently visited by local brothers (two of whom are named Darryl)

This is typical. Absolutely typical... of the kind of... ARSE I have to put up with from you people! You ponce in here, expecting to be handwaited on hand and foot while I'm trying to run a hotel here! Have you any idea of how much there is to do? Do you ever think of that? Of course not! You're all too busy sticking your noses into every corner, poking around for things to complain about, aren't you? Well, let me tell you something - this is exactly how Nazi Germany started! A lot of layabouts with nothing better to do than to cause trouble! Well, I've had fifteen years of pandering to the likes of you, and I've had enough! I've had it! Come on, pack your bags and get out!

I'll use this since it won't have to be reloaded again:

Slightly related trivia:

Russell Brand - who you Americans may know from Get Him To The Greek - got sacked from the BBC for prank calling Manuel on his radio show and talking about how he was rooting his grand daughter. Erm. Bumping nasties. You know. Penis in vagina.

What a vile hypocrite Russell Brand is.

// he can also be very funny and observant, I have to give him that

Even Russell Brand admitted almost immediately that that was over the line, and resigned from his radio show before he could be sacked. Took the heat for Jonathan Ross, who was also in on it.

Saw his Messiah Tour show. Very smart, very funny.
