Well, it's still snowing flurries here...

I'm doing well, thanks!  Finally got off my ass and started following the example of ecmoRandomNumbers - I'm eating low carb now and feel great.  It required a trade-off of bacon for alcohol, but I'm OK with this. :)

My thoughts on the series so far:  I am SO glad that Tyson decided to make it his own.  I was a little worried that he'd try to "be" Sagan, which he is not (not saying one is better than the other, but a cow is not a horse), but he really does a great job in his own way.  He does his own thing and it works well.  The spaceship thing is corny, sure, but you don't hire all of those CGI guys for nothing.

Do I still need to play the game if I'm already drunk when it airs?

Ah, the old bacon, weed, and water trifecta.  Breakfast of Champions.

Up in the wilds of Canadia you need a good way to get the winter blubber off. Same here way up in the mountains.

I love that they brought Cosmos back, as I think it's something out culture desperately needs right now... I just wish they'd chosen a host with some legitimate science credentials.

Alas, The View got to Jenny first.

So, did this show improve from the first episode? I found it squirmingly heavy-handed and campy and it lost me somewhere around the cartoon. I'm outside of the US so streaming it is a pain in the ass (VPNs, slow loading, etc.).

NdGT is OK, it's the writing that's a little flat. Really doesn't have the gee-whiz emotional impact the original had.

especially if you have pemeal bacon, oh, but that might sort of defeat the purpose, due to the pemeal.
