I like it too, for the same reasons.  My local public radio station ditched the evening classical stuff (Performance Today, etc) and teamed with some semi-local wannabe radio/web station.  You can click on the link I provided, then select "Listen Live".

You can do that, but I don't recommend it.

Should run about 2:30 - 2:45 tonight.

am already screaming "ENCORE!" from scenic downtown olympia, man...

We can totally hear you down here in Tennessee..

Where in TN?
I'm in KY. (the state, not the lube)

Just south of Knoxville. My kids and their mom are up in Harlan visiting family there.

I'm in Lexington, which is closer to Knoxville than Harlan in drive time.
I was in Evarts, KY recently. You go through Harlan to get there. Across the Kingdom Come Parkway

I think we had this discussion a few weeks ago - her family's actually in Evarts.

/there's truth to the song 'You'll never leave Harlan alive'

Hmmmmm....
Have I mentioned I get drunk for this thread?

2. Why are you taking a cold mud bath?

I'm good and dry and comfy in my sleeping bag.
Why? It's a clear night, I'm in a good area right now for a nice dark sky without a ton of light pollution, and I enjoy doing it. Restful. Other reasons as well, but those suffice.

I dunno about country, although I could have really used a good campfire earlier so I can have my clothes soak in the smell. Ah well, camping trips aren't too far off in the future.

There was a meteor shower that peaked earlier in the week, and most of the US was in prime viewing. I've been trying to post topics about some of the night sky stuff lately, but not too many people seem interested in em.

I still want to find an electronics/HAM expert and get them to build a setup where I can listen to meteors. It's some cool shiat.

dang. was hoping you could come up with something good for laying out in a field staring at the night sky.
this all works plenty good as is.

1. Sounds good so far.

In the doghouse, then. She'll get over it.

/Or she won't, and it will show up in the For When I'm Angry List for the rest of your natural life.

nope, not in any doghouse. Although someday I hope to have a certain someone out here with me.

Just my natural state whenever the weather permits it. I enjoy spotting satellites moving across the sky, the occasional random ion trail from a meteor, and being able to feel small for a while.

Also a good way to clear my head and think or not think, whatever my mind wants to do.

A real country boy it seems, our light pollution is makeing it hard to spot satellites anymore but have seen some cool random meteors here and there.

Well you have a place dark enough for viewing and ya I really miss camping. I haven't done it since before my ex and I split, oh well.

As far as meteors on ham, mind blown.

soosh: this is a song about rooster fighting.

when I was a kid in Oklahoma, my grandfather had a farm, and  a farm next to his raised fighting cocks.  Had them chained out front of their house next to houses for each of them, with razor blade spurs on them.  freaky sh*t.

Yeah there was one down the road from me growing up. Each cock had it's own little 'mailbox' house.

I'll keep listening, but... no more bad jokes.

They test for gout?

Well, the signs are pointing at venous insufficency in that leg. Blood tests are good, EKG was good, two ultrasounds were good.  Finally got good insurance, so I'm gunna take this dx and run with it and narrow it down.

Would it be really weird to ask for Ministry's Psalms 69?  Maybe a nice intro to some industrial kinda junk?

Last time I came here I requested Blue Oyster Cult and I got it so....If not Ministry, anything from Blue Oyster Cults "Cultasaurus rex."

I drank too much and can't figure out if I'm late or the time zones match up.
