Just one day a brown and already learning disappointment.

Forget it, Jake.  it's Cleveland...

So, with Burleson injured, that means Greg Little is their #1 receiver.  Who is their #2 guy now?

I'll let you know when the 27th pick of the 4th round (127 overall) is selected.

Who is going to trade for him? You just saw how wanted he was in the NFL, do you think the Browns are going to get anything in return to compensate them for their pick?

Little, Burleson, Josh Cooper looks good at times. Probably will trade for a WR since they seem to have no interest in drafting one.

I hope that Ray Farmer has filed his request for a Do-Over on this whole 2014 draft business.

They'll get a pick next year (to rebuild with). Just like every other year.

What a second or third round pick? Do you think any team is willing to trade next years first round pick for him when they weren't willing to pick him in the first round this year?

Not at all. Every year they draft the QB of the future and make a trade for picks next year.

I know it's still illegal most places and Federally, but come on. Times are changing, and it's going to be legal sooner rather than later. Just cut the shiat, do the right thing, and stop caring so damned much, NFL.

Doesn't matter who they trade or the pick they get for that player. They always draft a QB (preferably at #22 overall) to be the next Kosar and wind up with future picks in making it happen (which will be what pushes them over the top after next year). Add to that a 'can't miss player' (other than the can't miss QB of teh future).

Just figured I should explain it a little better.

JUst because it is legal, it does not mean that your employer cannot forbid it while under contract with them, and continue to do drug tests for it,

Tobacco is legal and yet many many employers make it a condition of employment that you cannot smoke while you work for them, at work or on your own time.

You, on the other hand...

Perfect for them. Two top-12 picks next year to put with Manziel in his first full year as a starter. He can study and split time this year.

The posters on the Browns boards are delusional. They're all rah rah Johnny Football will do it all on his own, but no one can explain how their going to get the ball in the end zone without Gordon. Hell, I don't think they would even have scored in half their games last year without that guy.

Whether or not it turns out that the Bills overpaid for Watkins--and they very well may have--at least they're trying to give Manuel some talent to work with.

But, but... he's a BEAST and "the best wide receiver in the NFL", so I was told. He and Johnny Football were going to terrorize the AFC North for years to come!

This is so Cleveland it's hard to describe where to begin.

It doesn't matter were you live NFL tests everybody for marijuana. The problem is the the Why?
NHL, MLB, NBA doesn't test for pot because, they wouldn't have any players to field a team.
I rather have a player smoke some weed then drink 2 cases of beer and 15 Vicodin's for pain.

Because when your employer decides to pay you a couple million dollars a year for your physical abilities, that buys them the right to tell you what you can't put in your body.

Here's 20 million.  You can have that or smoke weed.  What would you do?  Argue that is harmless and that it is bullshiat that you have to follow that rule or tip your hat, pass up on your recreational habit for awhile and cash that check

So let me get this straight. The Browns knew they were going to lose him for the year 2 weeks ago, and they proceed to draft CB, QB, OL, LB and RB.

Of all the Cleveland Browns in the world, they're the Cleveland Browniest

I don't know.  If you're the Browns, should you be filling a one year hole or filling other holes?  They've got a lot of holes to fill.  It seems a little short sighted to replace someone who will be returning in a year.

You don't blow up your draft board and abandon the draft strategy you've been working on for months just because there's a possibility that one player may miss extended time. We're building a team, not just a receiver corps. This is the deepest receiver class in years, there will still be talented receivers available this afternoon.

/Neither of the last two Super Bowl champions had a 1,000 yard receiver

We aren't going to lose the ability to acquire players just because the draft is over. There's still free agency, trades, UDFAs, all those different ways to find another receiver. The draft is a delicate process and you can't panic and scrap months of work and evaluations to replace a guy for one season. The last time the Browns panicked in the draft, they ended up with Brandon Weeden as a first-round pick.
