Happens all the time when schools hold these stupid "support the local team" days instead of concentrating on teaching children.
Kids show up in the jersey of the team they actually support and all Hell breaks loose.

Fark Montreal. They don't even speak real French and only Quebec people can make French people look reasonable in comparison because Quebec people are really pissy. Merde.

I briefly knew a girl from Quebec not too long ago. Might be the pushiest, most judgemental, most arrogent, snobbiest, most low-brow, rudest, biatchiest, most self-righteous, most contentious, most frivolous, and least self-aware individual I've ever met, Canadian or otherwise. I appreciate that not all people from a certain culture are the same, but that was a rotten first impression, Quebec!

I think I met her.  She was the wife of someone I once worked with.  And she really needed to shave.  Her face.  Seriously.

Not that I object, but when did Canada annex Massachusetts?

Leave us the fark out of that shiat.  We have enough problems with Confederation as it is.

Canadians are the most insecure whiners in the world, probably because they're best known as America's hat. Its also why they hated Argo so much, they act like each individual citizen had something to do with that act.

I liked the 'poll' at the end:

Did you think the school went too far?

o Yes

o No

o Maybe

Who's going to vote 'Maybe'?

/I am a little upset

Maybe this makes me exhibit A, but the reason Canadians took issue with that portrayal is because, once again, American media rewrites history to feed it's own insatiable need for self-supporting mythology.  I'm not knocking that as a cultural trait- Hell, it's worked well for 200 years, so who am I to argue with it.

I don't have a problem with the movie.  We don't need your recognition.  But when your default position is to snub an important act of international selflessness, as you just did, it says more about your character than ours.  But I wouldn't deign to taint your fellow countrymen with the same brush, I know far too many Americans that are appreciative of having a good neighbour.

dumb idea from the schoolboard (and not the first time in this exact scenario).  i'm pretty sure the habs are doing quite fine without their support.

Several years ago, a Chicago car dealer fired one of its employees because they were doing a
tie-in with the Bears, and she showed up in a Packers jersey.  (Something like the high school
boy who wore a Pepsi T-shirt on Coca-Cola Day...but this lady wasn't consciously defying
authority - she said.)

Also, there was a White Sox TV ad showing a fan yelling, "In your face, Tigers!", and a local
fried-chicken chain tied in with the Bears showed an orange-and-blue-clad player eating chicken
while running and pushing aside a player wearing yellow and green.  It's not just Montreal and
Boston, friends.
