fusillade762: optikeye: The Whopper JR is a mighty fine burger. When I have deal with car food...that's my choice.

Same. I simply can't eat a whole regular Whopper.

Me neither. It's the perfect size. But there are no conveniently close BK near me. Just a ton of McD's and a Whataburger (thankfully).

Also, the 24hour Jack In The Box has been closed by 2330 the few times I hit there last week, while on my way into work. WTF!?  Posted times still say 24hrs. So either jagoff employees leaving when they want, or jagoff manager closing different than posted hours.

in 1997 a friend and i who had some classes together would regularly go to bk (at least twice a week) for whoppers and hashbrown rounds for breakfast...so, nothing new there. i haven't been to bk much in years, but the last time i tried a few years ago, i could still get burgers at breakfast

those hashbrown rounds should've been available all the time! pretty much just flat tater tots

jack in the box and sonic have been doing all-the-time breakfast for quite some time

Iczer: Have they gone 24/7 breakfast yet? No? Then they're still losing mah money to JITB.

I wish sausage could shed it's breakfast reputation.  All because of Edward_Bernays ad campaign to sell pork.

/Why does it take White Castle so long to fry an egg in the afternoon though?

Thirded (?).  I don't know how most persons can finish much more fast food than the JR.

A 24hr McDonalds near me has an After Midnight menu when they serve most dinner and breakfast items during the same time. I've been told to combine a Cheeseburger with a Sausage Egg McMuffin, but I haven't gotten the guts for it.

Burger Kings around here previously were 24hr, but stopped due to poor sales.

So, Burger King finally figured out that they should Irish up their milkshakes? Right on!

Oh. Burgers all day. I guess that works, too.

You shut your mouth. Their biscuit sandwiches are like crack.

I thought BK was doing Whopper's in the morning years ago... did that happen and then they'd pulled back on that?

Weatherkiss: If I have a hangover I'm just going to get a ham/egg/cheese croissan'wich at BK anyway. It's the only thing that can get rid of it so I can go back into work.

I came in here hoping they were selling breakfast 24/7 - that stupid 10:30 cutoff bites on the weekends. (But McD's sells breakfast until 11:00 on the weekends, so they take that business.)

/Why not 24/7 breakfast, fast-food places?
//Breakfast is the one meal our BK does right.

McDonalds added a couple of 'steak'-based breakfast sandwiches to their breakfast menu in the past
few months, so this is not at all surprising.

fusillade762: Overheard at McDonald's once. Mother to child. "Finish your burger, it's good for you."

My faith in humanity was deeply damaged

The thing about this is that a lot of little kids are food-fussies & sometimes getting them to eat anything is a chore. an XGF had a child that for the longest time only wanted to eat potatoes & nothing else. Little brat was Irish so it probably wouldn't have hurt him, but it certainly can't be healthy.

Why not just do like Sonic, and serve your entire menu at anytime. Burgers for breakfast, egg sausage burrito for dinner.

The more you eat the more you fart: Burger King: i once threw a whopper jr patty on an antpile bc i didnt have time to eat it. Two days later, the patty was still there.

Havent eaten burger king since.

Exactly. This is why I only eat ant food.

It's the weekend. Why is there a cutoff on breakfast times?

One more of the grand mysteries of the universe that I'll never understand.

Fun fact: Sometimes ant colonies need more fat, other times they need more sugar. They'll pass up on fatty foods when the queen demands sugar, and vice-versa.

You do know that is probably due to the high sodium content and not the burger being not real food, right?

Fast food is fine in moderation.

BK Manager here-
1. We've been selling burgers for breakfast for years
2. McD's uses the same equipment for breakfast as they do for lunch, which precludes selling both. Why? because you don't want eggs and burgers cooking on the same grill at the same time - allergies, potential cross contamination, etc...
3. We could cook breakfast all day if BKC would allow it. We have separate cooking equipment for breakfast and lunch - meat on the broiler, eggs on the egg cooker, baked goods in the oven and fried foods in the fryers.

\I like to cook steaks on our broiler
\\An occasional bison burger as well, with cheddar, bacon and BBQ sauce

Weird, in this area we could always get BK burgers for breakfast. It was McDonalds that ran the Breakfast Stasi.

And the crossainwiches as well.  No idea if the original poster has even had BK breakfast.

If you combine the cheeseburger with the egg, and add a hash brown, that sounds good and you've still got a sausage muffin leftover.

Yes, it can Children will, for the first few years, mostly eat what their bodies need (as long as you don't offer them sugary food or sugary juices or milk all the time) and no more.

Doesn't hurt a monster to do a "food rut" once in a while. What hurts is if you deny that to the children, so they have food-based problems for the rest of their lives.

/I'm a little fat, but the monsters are gorgeously healthy because I gathered all the information I could as soon as I first conceived - and remembered it later, when I needed it.

Around here, Jack In the Box has a late-nite menu with stoner food, but it's only available after 9:00 pm. I asked the guy at the register one day, and he told me that technically they're not supposed to offer those items until after 9:00, but if they weren't busy they'd make it for me. Still haven't tried any of the late-nite item yet, though.

wait a sec.. They are "Finally" doing burgers for breakfast?  I normally go to Burger King in the mornings because they ARE the only place that will make a burger at 7AM... you just have to wait a short bit.. but they have always done that in every store I went to.. even at the one I worked at many moons ago...

So, by doing this I will no longer have to wait? it is a no brainer.. I still will eat BK over McDonalds anytime of the day..
