Big Kahuna has been doing this for years. They recognize that hamburgers are the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.

The Whopper JR is a mighty fine burger. When I have deal with car food...that's my choice.

Also off menu they'll have a Whooper JR veggie burger. Which has 21 g of protein compared to the 9 g of a normal Whoper Jr. and only 390 calories.  Just ask for it they'll cook it to order on request. A bit heavy on salt and fat...but wadda better than a fast food salad.

get free icewater instead of soda.

I'm very surprised at my local BK...the sandwiches actually look closer to the glamor shots on websites and ad more so than any other place.

They've decided they want to smell like smoke and road flairs so that my buddies and I don't have to get all dressed up like we're going to Walmart? Cool.

Same. I simply can't eat a whole regular Whopper.

A good call by BK here

It won't be any more nasty than their regular breakfast fare.

Burger King, next to Taco Bell, has always been the perfect fast food restaurant for late night stoners and insomniacs. They had a burger with french fries on it on their dollar menu for a while. I think they have a dollar western burger right now.

Many years ago I worked the night shift at a print shop. I'd get home around the same time my roommates were getting up and having breakfast.

Now, I don't usually get supermarket sushi, because you can never tell how long it's been sitting around. But at my local Vons, the lady who made and packaged their sushi set up her table in the early mornings, so I'd get the stuff fresh off her cutting board.

So while my roommates were eating their cornflakes, I'd be having a beer and fresh sushi.

A 24-hour Burger King? Why? Leave that late night/early morning thing to the experts:

If I have a hangover I'm just going to get a ham/egg/cheese croissan'wich at BK anyway. It's the only thing that can get rid of it so I can go back into work.

Have they gone 24/7 breakfast yet? No? Then they're still losing mah money to JITB.

Burger King: i once threw a whopper jr patty on an antpile bc i didnt have time to eat it. Two days later, the patty was still there.

We've got a few fast food restaurants open all night around my work site, but usually just drive through, which sucks when I just want to run across the street for BK, or a block away for A&W or Tims, or 3 blocks total for McDonalds, and AFAIK, all but the McDonalds serve burgers all the time (and TIm's, but they never have burgers, so it's a moot point.)

The BK patties  in California are greyish looking, while the BK patties everywhere else looks normal.

The best thing for a hangover is a 6 minute steak or blue steak with an egg and to wash it down water with a table spoon of, Worcester sauce, Tabasco, and a dash of salt in the water.

That being said I will always prefer a burger to the breakfast food any fast food restuarant puts out.

Also, a Colorado omelet from IHOP is very tasty.

So, do you often throw food on antpiles when you are too busy to eat?

I'm a 3rd shift worker, but the only BK in the area isn't between work and home.  And I buy food on the way to work in the evenings, not in the mornings.

Screw these wretched take away junk food dumps, and screw the customers too. So, so many fat people screaming for big Macs and big tastes at 4am.when I was young and desperate enough to work at a place where abuse from customers suffering from fat withdrawal at 4am was acceptable. Really, guys? I don't mean the workmen or drivers or other early morning workers requiring substance for their busy day, I mean the fat families with fat children who couldn't be farked to make some toast or porridge in the morning. /incoherent rant

There's a White Castle near work here.  But their drive thru service isn't particularly fast.  So if I want to stop there on the way to work, I have to get up for work early.

You what now?

If you really wanted those kind of funny tasting pink slime burgers, you could have gotten them at any hour between opening and closing in Seattle. For decades now, subby. Old news is--slimy. Addictive. With liquid smoke additive.

Really? I'm not a fast food conessier. I rarely eat it. I'll admit the Whopper junior has a nice flavor balance and is about right for my appetite. My pet peeve; why do they serve shredded lettuce instead of just a leaf. Gets all over your car seat and floorboards. Probably causes accidents. Next to tacos it's about the worst car food ever.

Want some extra business, McDonalds?  All day Egg McMuffins.

Iczer: Have they gone 24/7 breakfast yet? No? Then they're still losing mah money to JITB.

No Jack in the Box up in my area (New England), but I'd gladly pay the folks at the Golden Arches extra for Egg McMuffins 24/7.

I worked third shift in a newborn nursery for over a year when I was in the military.  The dining hall served breakfast at ten at night and then again at the "normal" breakfast time.  Over that year I lost about twenty pounds from that diet.  My buddies and I did a research project and presented to the hospital commander. We documented the weight loss of a bunch of night workers.  Within the month the base instituted a midnight meal that was equivalent to the daytime lunch.

Overheard at McDonald's once. Mother to child. "Finish your burger, it's good for you."

the mcdonalds in my town is open 24 hours, which is great, but they switch to a "late night menu" which for some bizarre reason does not include big macs.  i work third shift and would love to stop over for lunch and get me a big mac.  if they started serving them at breakfast time i would go there way more often, but i doubt that will ever happen.

Managers to be strung up by their toes 6 months after implementation.

The burgers will be cooked on the same area the eggs etc are cooked on, after all.  That's twice as much cleaning.

I may not have worked in a fast food restaurant since 1997, but by beer and rum I remember the basics.
