Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit frying on blotter acid.

I kinda feel like I should be stoned while watching this.   I don't hate it, though.

I started listening to it thinking where have I heard this before and then realized I was listening to a Divine sample from a John Waters movie, Polyester maybe?

I absolutely love songs with a generic hip-hop beat and bad highly repeated sound bits from shiat I don't care about!  Moar admins Moar stupid songs like this!

Wow. I love that track and never knew there was a video. Thanks subby!

I first learned about that track from Pandora. I wonder what they know about me?

Why would this be NSFW?

Doesn't take much

So was that racist?

They had a fake Indian and fake Mexicans and a fake monkey and whatever those 3 horn players were in the back.

I guess the lesbian exhibitionist found the right mod to impress because that shiat sucks.

2014-05-08 08:13:17 PM
Let's see... a 12-year-old video on YouTube for at least 7 years and already viewed nearly 5 million times. We are on the cutting edge here, people.

Subby, you're a bad person and I feel cheated.

This link was so bad it broke my internet. Seriously, resetting my WiFi router, wtf.

THIS is sampling.

When Kanye, Daft Punk, or Timbaland take a WHOLE SONG and just rap over it, add some drums, or play it slightly out of order, that is NOT sampling. That's plagiarism.

This was an example of cool sampling.

It was an example of sampling, anyway.

The guess the boy who needs therapy is mod who green lit this.  HS kids could come up with this.

Which one did Daft Punk plagiarize? I seem to recall them suing Oukast for doing that, but I didn't hear that they had done it themselves. The only thing I can think of is when they play live they like to mix their favorite tracks with artists that inspired them, but that's about it.

Kanye West I think

Any particular reason why a YTMND meme from a decade ago is making the rounds on the internet again?

This is a repeated repeat. Not that I'm complaining.

well, i won't say 'plagiarizing' but one example is harder, faster, better stronger
the main loop in the song is basically the fist few bars from cola bottle baby   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3AKrwna2C8
there's quite a few articles listing out some of the major things they sampled if you are bored and google around

what constitutes 'good' or 'bad' sampling is pretty subjective i suppose.. depends how much you buy the idea that the choice of a good sample is an art or skill....,i'd say tho the ' repeating a bunch of movie samples' thing started to get a bit of cliche by the mid 90s or 2000s, it's interesting that those techniques can kind of be traced to the era it was released, kind of like how in mid 80s tunes you heard a lot of short chops in vocals and stuttering vocals when samplers first started getting cheap enough to be a common instrument...then a big jump in the 90s when ram started getting cheap.. and another jump in the 2000s where people stopped using samplers and started editing stuff like crazy directly in computers..

this tune from the linked video definitely has an old school vibe , which makes sense being from 2000.
the modern day equiv of this style might be like flying lotus, or people like djrum  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x_GHql5Kec

Ah ok that makes sense. But when I hear plagiarizer I immediately think of someone who is claiming it is their own, kind of like Vanilla Ice's whole debacle.
