SundaesChild: They're always in the last place you look.
Recoil Therapy: Except that in this case, police ended up arresting Mulholland on drug-related charges, according to the station."She definitely has narcotics - either they're prescribed to her or not - in her system, from her own admissionAh the old "You made us look stupid & wasted our time so we're going to arrest you no matter what" way of law enforcement. Now I'm not saying that this woman is anywhere near mother of the year territory, but a quick 3-5 minute call to her doctor to see if she was supposed to be taking various drugs would seem like the way to go. At least for those who believe in a 'justice' system rather than a 'fark you, because we can' system.Too bad getting her some help never seem to enter their thought patterns once it was realized that the kid was found but instead switched over to a "well someone's got to pay" way of thinking.
ArkAngel: SundaesChild: They're always in the last place you look.A foolish saying. I continue looking for things I have lost for several hours after I find them
Delta1212: "I didn't realize it was Tuesday and I figured she was home with me, and (instead) she was at school, so I panicked as any other normal parent would," she said.
""Apparently, the mother is having some issues and she had her days confused," said Chief Robert Butelli, of the Brentwood Police Department."
The days all look the same, they all end in "Y".
Phony_Soldier: Delta1212: "I didn't realize it was Tuesday and I figured she was home with me, and (instead) she was at school, so I panicked as any other normal parent would," she said.I love that. No, lady, a normal person would not have made that mistake. Your brain needs fixing.
jtown: "She definitely has narcotics - either they're prescribed to her or not - in her system, from her own admission," Sgt. DeLallo said.WTF is that supposed to mean? It seems to me that they're saying that it's illegal to have prescribed drugs in your system.
47 is the new 42: Child not nod.
Mark Ratner: If not for the good, solid work of law enforcement detectives, the child was found safe and sound. Good job, boys in blue.
Strut: I just don't understand why they didn't try the school first. i guess that would be too logical.
gfid: Or you know, they could just look at the prescription on her pill bottles. You mean she didn't have those?
