I don't mind the remakes, but what I do mind is they take what was usually an "R" rated movie and make it "PG-13" so no they may get the biggest audience but all the action is neutered. Robocop was Rated R back in the 80s, but the remake is PG-13. No studio really wants to make an R movie and lose potential audience. If the Lethal Weapon remake is Rated R then it has a chance.

Let's really shake things up: the crazy cop should be a parapalegic, wheelchair-bound, homosexual, asian woman who's a lousy shot, and the straight cop should be white, short, bald, f-ing ugly, lives alone, not that smart, and has a pet tarantula called Bojangles.

They should drive a modified Ford Econoline van, obey the traffic laws, and when they finally meet Joe Pesci, shoot him in the head.
