Bachelor Number One: what is your idea of a romantic evening?

"A nice dinner, we go dancing, she avoids being accidentally killed when I swing an ax..."

He murdered his wife and lover on a TV show? I'd watch that.

After RTFA, it is evident this show's producers need to put a bit more effort into screening contestants.

I'll say, someone sure dropped the ball here. I'm sure even a cursory background check would have revealed all they needed to know since he actually served time for both incidents.

If I read it correctly he killed 2 wives and a guy who was sleeping with one of his wives. The first wife being a cousin of course.

Sounds like a keeper.

The guy who wrote Midnight Express would probably be thrilled to hear about the number of years this guy served for two murders.

No, you read it wrong.  He killed one wife, his cousin who was talking to the nephew of the widower she was first promised to, then after his second marriage killed a married woman he wanted to marry.  He didn't say if he still had an ax to grind or not.

Definitely full of personal responsibility.  He didn't kill these people, they just died all around him.  I mean, who doesn't know how to dodge an axe?

He's totes just a victim of destiny.

"He said things changed after they lived with his family for five months."

That'll do it.

Yea, looks like mission accomplished to me.

Yeah... I was thinking that he was confessing to an unsolved crime or something. Kind of a boring story when he's just admitting to something already in the public record.

Yeah, they obviously did this to get us to all watch Turkish TV shows.

Not sure you understand how TV works. Violent murder in this contestant's past? Fantastic, now we just need one fugly and one attractive but unbearable asshole to round out the rest of this episode.

Considering the stories you always hear, I am really half surprised we haven't had our first "Death Row Dating Game" reality show yet.

"Çalınak had acknowledged before the program that he had murdered someone"

does this not prompt followup questions.

"Oh, I see, well, who did you murder, an intruder trying to kill your family?"

"No, my wife."

"Oh, was in self-defense before she was trying to kill you?"

"Well, it an accident with an ax."

"Oh you were cutting down trees and she came behind you and got accidentially hit?"

"No, i swung it at her when we were fighting and it accidentally hit her."

"I think you're not a right fit for this show."

"Want to see my ax, i have it here with me?"

"We'll have you on tomorrow night."
