Solid State Vittles: I had a co-worker that more than once brought durian into our cube farm office when she was pregnant. Yeah, I know it's a traditional nutrient-rich food for pregnant Asian mothers, but NOT COOL.Oh, and the VP I worked for there wore so much perfume that you could smell her coming about 10 seconds before she got to your desk.It was almost as if that company was hard of smelling or something.
Bathia_Mapes: Had a co-worker who wore so much perfume that you could literally taste it in your mouth when she walked past. Insta-headache for some of us too. This despite office rules stating that strong scents (cologne, perfume, aftershave, etc.) weren't allowed due to allergies/sensitivities of other employees. She got written up at least three times that I know of and was sent to the ladies' room to wash off as much of the perfume as possible. The fourth time she got suspended for a week without pay and was sent home.
The Goddamn Batman: Who the f*ck microwaves kimchi?
Lsherm: I eat kimchi and tuna fish in the office all the time. The only time we had a problem was when I threw some out on a Friday afternoon and by Monday the office smelled like Rosie O'Donnell's crack sweat. I was not very popular that day.
cgraves67: They like to burn the coffee here. And one of the guys has a rotating radiant heat oven thing that burns stuff too.Place I used to work had an oven that no one used. a new employee decided to bake a pizza and almost burned the place down preheating, because of the dust inside.
Gilligann: A coworker used to reheat fish in the break room right next to my office.I asked her why she used this break room when there was one right next to her office? She said the smell bothered people near the other break room.
abhorrent1: Oh gawd. The floor I sit on is full of Indians. Every day around 11:30 it's like someone set of a farking stink bomb. I don't know what it is they're making but it smells like Diarrhea and B.O. It's farking disgusting.
Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: I get this steam-in-bag stuff called Tuscan Broccoli that I eat for lunch a few times a week. The woman who sits nearest the employee kitchen apparently hates the smell, as does our assistant manager. One he walked by and asked if there was a sewage leak in the kitchen. The stuff does smell like poop.
hermitage_deux: i worked for a large korean manufacturing firm...they ate kimchi at the company lunchroom buffet...and then pissed all over the floors in the men's room.i think they truly thought it was their duty to make life hard for the janitors. inflated their egos, etc.
