"Accuse your opponent of doing what you're doing" is #2 in The Rove Playbook.

#1 Attack your opponent's strength from your weakness.
#3 (my favorite) Be worse than anyone can imagine.

I kind of enjoy how there's this meme of telling the voters that you're one of the people and that you won't court big money donors when it's been shown repeatedly that voters generally vote for the guy with the most big money donors.

At first when I read TFH, I thought "Oh well. Any attack works. More power to him." and then after reading TFA (yeah, some of us do that), I realized we're not talking about a primary contest. Suddenly my feelings on the issue switched to "That disingenuous asshole." I think I have whiplash now.

/fark the teahadists, Republicans, and McConnell. Yes, in that order.

Thank you for reminding me to watch the back half of the documentary "Boogie Man" to feel good later.

Bob Robert: If Republicans win the House and Senate this November it will be time to give up on the American experiment and consider it broken beyond repair.

Or we could wait two years when the Democratic voters bother to show up.
