Tonight's game will decide this. If the Bruins can't stop the Habs tonight, it's over. Home ice won't save them. They need to come out, and play physical hockey. They need to put the Habs, and especially Subban on their ass.

It's a tall order, especially considering how PK Subban seems to have activated beast mode. If they don't get to Subban, he is gonna carve em up.

And Rask needs to grow some tusks - I mean he got burnt on those two breakaway goals.

One of the few good things about the Habs winning the series would/will be not having to scroll through pages & pages of the assorted Boston pictures that clutter the start of every hockey thread ... ahem.  That's about the only thing I can think of though because if the Habs do win my friend up in Montreal will be insufferable..... ah well.

On to the west.... sigh... you know, the Ducks can/have/do play extremely hard every game, they just don't do it for the full game.  They can't be jet lagged & yet they look like they're asleep for the first 45+ minutes of each game & it's just too late after that.  Combine that with Quick being absolutely incredible & making save after save that he shouldn't be able to make & it takes us to where we are today - teetering on the edge of the abyss.  Obviously a team is able to climb out of is, as the Kings showed in the last round, but that wouldn't be a good long term game plan.  About the only potential good side of the Ducks imploding, potential, is that if the Wild pull out their series then there is no chance of Cooke sending Teemu off in to retirement in a Savard like way.... yeah a very thin thread for a good thing happening.  Oh well, one way or another, by midnight there should be a good indication if their season is on the edge of being over or not....

Publikwerks: They need to come out, and play physical hockey.

Agreed. If they come out flat again, waiting for the last five minutes to pour it on is not going to save them.

I actually think they should not worry too much about Subba Bubba. He's been running wild because the Bs have shiat the ice for 2 2/3 periods. If they play "Bruins Hockey" he'll turtle up.

Agreed. Subban is really keeping the Habs in this series. If they were to lose him, they'd be borked.

Maybe the Bruins should have a really, really long pre-game warmup, that way the first period will feel like the third.

Maybe bring in a hypnotist to make them think they're down by 2 goals before the puck drops.

Well, that's why I think it's down to tonight - If the Bruins don't change the series tonight, and play their hockey, I don't think they make it out of the series. Even if they win with another 3rd period comeback, I think they are in trouble.

Last game was awful. I mean, that was really awful. They need to rebound. If they rebound tonight, they will be in great shape. Take the momentum back to Boston, and maybe put the Habs on their heels with a game 5 win.

From what I've seen of the Mon/Bos series, it looks like Boston is confused for the first 40-45 minutes and the Habs just weather the last 15-20 minutes. I think Price and Subban are in the Bruins heads, there is something about the two of them that just gets under the Bruins skin. If Boston can find some Zen like state to play the game in, I think they can win, if they let Montreal continue to frustrate them, it's all over.

I think whoever wins tonight will win the series.

It's crazy, but I agree with this. Not only that, I think the Bruins are going to win. I think they come out fighting tonight. And I think if they come out fighting, playing like they are behind 2 goals in the third, they can decimate Price and the Habs.

I mean, last game, 2 goals were on farking stupid ass breakaways from short changes or pp ending. I mean, that's sloppy/freak occurrence.

And I think they come out pissed tonight.

I'm getting pumped.

I really hope that's the case.

If you wanna talk about freak occurrences, the Bruins missing wide-open nets and hitting 2+ posts per game.

If they can somehow get off that shiatwagon that could help a lot.

They were saying on the Sports Hub yesterday that the Big Angry German says that he can play, you think Claude will let him go?

Maybe. I'm not a fan of trying to rush someone in, but I think the team needs a good shake up, and that could do it. But they arn't going to let him back on until he is medically cleared. He's 5 months in recovery, so it could happen
