So they've got enough money to buy homes for the ladies that meet them, right?

I just came in to wish, the commas, in the headline, good luck, we're all counting, on you.

Tell you ladies what you really want in a man. Someone who doesn't love their family. Because surely that's a good sign that he'll love and adore you forever and ever.

TFA only appears to have the top 7.

Apparently we have to go to a third party site to see the rest.

And f*ck that.

Seriously. Such bullshiat. And when you click the source link you find HuffPo got the order reversed. Even then there's no mention of what sort of methodology they used. For all I know they just picked ten cities at random.

How does this shiat get greened?

8. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina:
If you like smooth-talking Southern Gentlemen, then this is not the city for you. For the men of Myrtle, not much has changed here since the 80's. They still have a mullet and a waterbed in their dad's basement. So there's that.

Spot on, except for the part about dad's basement:

10. Stockton, California:
With unemployment over 18.5% for the 5th year in a row, Stockton is a hotbed of California hotties with no steady income, making it the perfect place to find your sugar baby.

Oh, well I don't think it's strange for feminists to be looking for men. I do think it's strange for feminists to biatch that the men in these specific locales aren't likely to be buying them a house and lots of fake leopard print clothing though.

To be fair, Huffington Post still has a lot of actual news articles going on mixed in with the garbage. The problem is that Fark is not greening many good articles lately.

Fark is going downhill.

wesmon: Fark is going downhill.

Honestly, at which point does one determine a site as "Well, it's completely downhill.  Let's shut 'er down."?

I've been here for years (not my first login name) and it's been going "downhill" since the day I joined.

Look, the longer you stay at a place, the longer you consider it "downhill".  Remember, though, that each person joining only knows "HOLY shiat THIS IS AWESOME!" but will, like you, in a few years/months/days, start saying, "Fark is going downhill."

So..perspective...or something.

I confess to living in an attic. It's pretty awesome actually, much better than the basement. That guy's set up is a little too awesome for me though.

The sponsored links, TF plugs, constant typos in headlines, and Opposing Views links have taken it down a few notches. And the photoshop contests are pretty lame now. But still... Love me some Fark.

This isn't my first login name, either. I started lurking around 2000, got my first login sometime in '02 or '03.

The free day of TF was neat, I'll give you that. It was definitely better in the early days, though. Boobies links actually got greened, for one. The photoshop contests back then spawned some classic memes, and even when they didn't you at least got to see impressive work by people like CranberryZero and Roger Mexico. And there's definitely been a shift in recent years from genuinely interesting news-of-the-weird to whatever crap listicle of the day is submitted by sponsored partners.

Basically Fark started to suck once it turned into a business. I can't blame Drew for having a family to feed, but I miss when the place used to be rough around the edges.

Fark was on a hill?  I've been here since early '00 in one form or another and I don't recall it ever being much more than it is now.  Maybe TF has changed, but with the exception of people that have come and gone, Fark is pretty much the same.  Graphics notwithstanding.

I understand. I do remember the boobies links going green, but I'm guessing Drew doesn't want FARK to be blocked at work, so that makes sense, doesn't it? I do miss a few people that either got banned or left for whatever reason. But, on the bright side, I've noticed a few new faces that make me laugh and think. Links like this do suck, though. I'm not clicking on a greenlit link for a list, and then click on a link within the article for the rest of the list. That's lame.

See, I don't click on links that I know are going to annoy me.  I glance right over Opposing Views and Gawker and even Yahoo, unless the story is too much, which it very rarely is.  Gawker on principle, but the others are very poorly crafted sites, and they should feel bad about what they present to the world as their product.

And typos in headlines are fun.  If that's what bothers you, maybe head on over to CNN.com for your entertainment.

I am literally moving into my parents basement in about a month. Of course, it is only temporary (6 months at the most), and it comes after not living at home for 7 years (3 of which were abroad), but I still feel a slight hint of shame. Oh well, there is a sweet table for my buddies and I to play magic on.

I'm one of those awful millennials and I married a dude who lived with his mom at the time.  As of 3-4 years ago it seemed like a good quarter of the dating market were living with mom (and another half lived with 2-5  room mates).  I didn't care as long as the dude had lived on his own before, he and his mom weren't nuts, and he had a good work ethic.

If I were doing it again now that the job market's a lot better, I'd give it a more jaundiced eye.

For every 1 positive new face like that, there are twenty ignorant or stupid assholes and they don't all stay in politics tab.  I'm talking about people that really bring the derp.

That is the real reason fark has gone downhill.
