I hate those Blue blockers.

He is a great pitcher.

F*ck him.

He is 28 years old now, in his 10th season, with a Cy Young Award and four All-Star Game appearances to his credit.

A perfect game wasn't worth mentioning?

Haha! Joke's on you subby, weather in Seattle sucks too bad for anyone to have swimming pools!

Extra month off from work too.

Yay, ESPN's quarterly "wouldn't Felix be better off in an east coast market that truly deserves him?" article.

There were actually two today. Szymborski wrote the same article this afternoon. They really have it out for the west coast. Felix is off to a monster start too, even by his standards.

It's like they're not even trying to hide the "he belongs in pinstripes" snark.

It's good to be King.

Felix chose to stay with the New Cubs.

He's a loser.

He's doing better than you.

I'm sure it's nice not having to play games in October.  If I had to be in the PNW that time of year I'd want to stay indoors too.
/sorta kidding.  I'd prefer it to the climatological hellhole that is the south.

Hey now. The M's almost took a share of first place in the AL West today! Pretty sure they were at least 8 games under .500 this time last year and the playoffs are only several months away.

If only the M's had drafted Russel Wilson...

/Go M's!

Ummm.. The Mariners lost their second game. They are two games back, tied for 2nd, and 4th is only a half game behind them. So basically the AL West is a complete crap-shoot right now with 4 teams of 5 strongly in contention. Although the fact that like 80% of the Mariners losses were while two of their top three pitchers were injured, and those pitchers are back now, is a good sign for them.

I hope he stays.  Fark the east coast bias.  As an Astros fan I would love for him to stay because we've done ok against him in his career, and we've won the game both times we've faced him this year.

/Always liked the Mariners for some reason
//Always loved Hernández

Ohh forgot one of his many fun facts.  In 2008 he hit a grand slam in every at bat.  Of course he only had one at bat that season.  On June 23 he left the game with two outs in the bottom of the 5th inning with a sprained ankle, having allowed two base runners all game, and holding a 4-1 lead while the Mariners ended up winning 5-2.  Didn't get the win because he didn't go 5+ innings.

may?

The M's are over 500 with basically missing 3 of their 5 starting pitchers.

They get those guys back and stay healthy it could be interesting.

/but Mariners...

Well get those pitchers back and Felix gets over what ever's causing him problems. I mean shockingly the mariners have been giving him decent run support (for the mariners meaning at least 3 or 4 runs) and he's blown the lead both times recently.

Yesterday he didn't even get a strike out. I fear the King may have lost his crown.

It's 2 starts. He gave up 11 hits and 2 walks without striking out anyone yesterday and we won because he only gave up 3 ER, all of which came when he was out of gas. Felix is fine, but he has bad starts occasionally, just like everyone else.

I found out today that he's apparently still fighting the illness that screwed him up in houston. He lost a lot of weight. I hope he gets healthy again and can return to form.

And only giving up 3 didn't help Ramirez who only gave up 2 and got no run support. But that was a double header.
