See? This is how T3 got started.

I'm not sure if the stupid tag is strong enough for how stupid this is.

This sounds stupid and painful. But women voluntarily wear high heels all the time so I assume this will really take off.

2014-05-07 01:42:37 PM
I'm in favor of women not wearing bras, but I'm not in favor of unnecessary surgery.

2014-05-07 01:55:03 PM
I somehow doubt that this is safe, nor would it work for women of larger cup sizes. Not to mention isn't one of those hospitals the one that removed a fallopian tube instead of an appendix a few weeks back?

/Ill gladly pay for my bras, thank you

This going to take-off like refractive eye surgery. Women do not want to sag, ever.

I imagined this very thing years ago writing a science fiction story (no you can't read it, that's going to stay buried on a ZIP disk where it belongs). I envisioned using kevlar straps instead of silk though; seems like the body would more readily break down the natural fiber.

Also, what cgraves67 said.

I like breasts with some hang to them. I think NOT sagging is unattractive and unnatural looking in anyone over 20 years of age, or over a C-cup.

I find it attractive when a woman's breasts react to gravity. I find it freakish and ugly when they point up, or worse, point in opposite directions toward each of the woman's shoulders.

Let them hang, ladies. They're beautiful.

Well, that will give teenage boys even more trouble trying to remove.

This will be one of those things that future generations look back upon and wonder WTF we were thinking, like those old ultra skinny corsets from the late 19th century.

Imagine you're going in for the boob squeeze and feel a solid metal plate along the bottom. Ewwwwwwwww

Instant squick for lots of guys.

Don't kid yourself. They will have body modifications we can't even dream of. We are developing advanced prosthetics to help soldiers walk and hold things again. That's how plastic surgery got its start after WW1. So conceivably the next fad in beauty could be replacing a woman's ugly, hairy, veiny legs with attractive prosthetics. Or hey, would you like a titanium dick? How about artificial hair that changes colors and styles itself? Maybe they will surgically implant vibration packs into their own vaginas and penises.

The metal is attaching the silk to the ribcage, the breast portion is still silicone. If you're feeling up the ribs where the screws are trying to feel up a girls boob then you're doing it wrong.

I would totally have that done! I hate wearing bras, but large-C/D cups make them necessary. *looks for trials to volunteer for*

Ship me my Soryama gynoid mk2 and I'll assemble her mmyself, or reconstruct her from that drifter I hit with my car last night. Either way.

You know what else prevents sagging and doesn't require invasive surgery? Strengthening your pectoral muscles.

If a woman wants or feels the need to undergo surgery for whatever reason...more power to her.

Many American women don't know what is this "muscles" thing of which you speak.

This.  I get a kick out of the sort of fundy guys telling women to not do this, or calling it mutilation.  They've somehow fooled themselves into thinking they're on the "side" of women, even though they feel the need to tell them what to do or to protect their inferior psyche's.

Nope. The reasons are entirely selfish: fake tits are gross and we don't want to see that.

I know women don't need my advice on whether or not to shove plastic bits into their flesh for their own self-esteem. I also don't care.

Meh, just about like everything else, some are quality jobs and look great, some are total fiasco's.

As for being selfish, meh, that's fine, at least you admit it.  Not everyone follows your lead though, hence the types I mentioned.

Wild.  You could wake up and say "I want my merkin to be mauve, and in a mohawk" and BAM, there you have it, a mauve, mohawk merkin!

So women would rather have a huge scar under each breast than a little sagging? I don't think so. Leave 'em alone, ladies. They're fine as they are.

I don't know what's worse...

An industry that supports people messing with themselves
Or
People using the industry to mess with themselves.

Who's worse, the weaponmaker or the ones buying the weapons to use??

Whatever, it you want to screw with yourself...it's your life, your money.
As long as it doesn't affect others
Or we don't have to pay for fixing your screwup.

The users. Industries exist to fill needs; they do not create consumers.

That would hurt, a lot.  As a nurse I've dealt with a lot of ortho pain with screws used for repair and lots of broken ribs.  Both are very damn painful, generally more so than just soft tissue incisions/injuries.

Hmm, I don't know why anyone would get this over just a normal breast lift/implants.

My wife has very large implants (1600cc) and she has internal sutures designed to help keep them up and in place, but they are not a "bra" as depicted in the picture that accompanies the article.

Anyway, this just seems like a way for surgeons to sell more operations to women.

Some women have plenty of size, but it's spread out.  I'm all for gravity to a point, but it can be brutal.

TFA: The 'internal bras' comprise a fine hardened silicone cup placed under the breast tissue, and fine silk straps screwed into the patient's ribs to lift the breast.

So what happens when they lie down? Or roll over?

I know a woman with large saggy breasts.  She said it's her dream to lie in bed to watch tv and not be able to see half of it because her tits are in the way.  Not only is that what she wants, because tits!.... they also wouldn't be in her armpits or otherwise oozing into uncomfortable places in other positions.
