Not in the slightest. The first time I visited Illinois I was farking shocked at how hard it is to find and how much it costs. Around the DFW you can pick up an O for like $60 on just about any corner in Deep Ellum or off Lower Greenville.

Or thats what I hear at least.....

while i agree it's easy to find...o for 60? sure you're not getting ground up dandelions or something? i MIGHT believe you get a quarter...but a full o?

Well, if you want a cheap, legal high:

And all natural!

I've got a buddy that smokes that shiat because he promised his parents (he's 35) that he wouldn't smoke weed anymore.  He takes one hit of that stuff and just gets stupid.  I mean, wobbling around, can't hold a conversation, spaced-out, stupid.  I can't even hold a conversation with him anymore.  It's almost like it short circuits his brain, like a mild, ongoing epileptic fit.  I've told him several times to lay off of it, but almost every time I see him, he's got a package on him.  We haven't hung out in a while for that reason.

I've tried it once.  I got dizzy, sweaty and sick to my stomach.  Once was enough for me to say fark that shiat.

Semantics- to overdose means you have to take above the alotted/prescribed amount.

People_are_Idiots: Typical "greening out" effects:
- Temporary feelings of paranoia, fear and anxiety
-  Shortness of breath
-  Pupil dilation
-  Vomiting and/or nausea
-  Fast heart rate
-  Shaking that is hard to control, feeling cold
-  Disorientation or hallucinations
-  Hangover

Side effects...

Nope, just go to one of the local disc golf courses.

If you're farking stupid enough to smoke K2 at this point - after the thousands of accounts of people going psychotic and/or dying from it - I can't really summon up too much sympathy.

/glad to see you leave the pool, Gene

With weed, there are two types. Taking more than you should in a short time, and long term OD (AGAIN: Neither you die from, and in most cases are temporary). It's like alcohol, you drink too much in the short term, you get a bit sick.

bmwericus: Somaticasual: That's 120 more than would have overdosed on you know, the regular kind...

And we are DONE here.  Came to say that, etc.

Real weed is not nearly as harmful as all the substitutes people will use when they can't use the real thing.  Why is it that the safe stuff is illegal and paint thinner is still sold over the counter?

Hell, I get latex paint thinner directly from a tap in my home.

What_Would_Jimi_Do: 2. IT SAYS NOT FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE PACKAGE.

That's the loophole.

There's still tons of people out there doing ice, despite the fact that long-term users tend to develop grand mal seizures, and start dropping like flies.

They do it because it's cheap, potent, and more readily available that other drugs (even heroin, crack, or painkillers). It's sad, because I've seen more than a few families get ripped apart by it.

Just legalize pot already! Regulate and tax it just like tabacco and  alcohol. Use the tax revenue for school funding, health care costs, and law enforcement.

gfid: khyberkitsune: Archfeld: Not that weed is so hard to get in TX, it is just that possession of any of it will send you to jail forever.

Funny, I whipped out my California medical recommendation, my registration with the county board of health, and showed them a picture of my federally-approved grow room with license on the door when I got pulled over this weekend.

They didn't even blink and just let me go saying "Keep it hid, unless cops ask you, son."

I find that a bit hard to believe.

I adore the subtlety of that understatement, seeing the whole "federally-approved" thing is a laughable

BALD FACED LIE.

I would believe it, but only that it's a brown, crumbly, seedy ounce. I used to have no problem getting an O of ditchweed in MI for $80-100. fark that shiat, tho.

Well, if he/she works at the University of Mississippi, it would at least be possibly true.

Hoping you mean research we need. Since the numbers for doctors who are for med mj came out as overwhelmingly in favor they've ramped up research in general and fastforwarded it for the data already known to get it publishedin med journals and news sites simultaniously.

If you know more, I'm interested. There have been many patents filed, over the years and recently, the outcome will be interesting. Hell, it's interesting if the feds are sanctioning even research yet, kinda skeptical, but will email college friends with more google fu and direct contacts to check this out.

Would be different than what's being discussed, but "technically correct" is the best correct. I've come to embrace that farkism, it has hidden value.

lindalouwho: And you want to link to all the other stories with these kind of numbers lol you dumbass?

That's right, it's not a common thing so you can't.

Yea, you're not very smart. Hope you never have kids (and if you do, your lacking education is going to hurt them sooner or later.)

And the numbers? Thousands. I hear about some new dumbass across the country almost DAILY.

The fact you haven't means your head, and ass, are firmly in the sand.

When lacking citations just attack lol

It does happen. Not in such numbers in one place in such a short time. But you know that, or you would've arrived with proof.

Sweetie, you must really care about what strangers on the internet say to you or you wouldn't think your insults have any impact.

Toodaloo!

In addition: hey, sure, this sitch could be a fluke.

But. People overdose on heroin all the time. When it starts happening in pockets of the country, it raises an alarm and is looked at. They find batches have been cut with phentynol (sp?) And the media/health officials etc alert the public, trying to prevent overdoses.

Just sayin'

Well, then you better move to California and try to grow 99 plants. The DEA will be on your doorstep to ensure your compliance with state laws. No compliance? Federal felony.

Hard to get citations when the current story is all about texas.

So instead go look it up on NIDA's website, drugabuse.gov

Oh, let's not forget another synthetic cannabinoid, dronabinol, which has killed at least 5 and hospitalized many more.

/I was one of those hospitalized on dronabinol - a PRESCRIPTION DRUG and was taken as directed.

//if you're to lazy to look up a counter-source, you're not being attacked, you're choosing to be ignorant.

Lol

Way to deflect!

Not Texas. Anywhere in the world where there was a POCKET of overdoses on this drug of this MAGNITUDE in such a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

Your insults are invalid and you use them as a substitute, trying to hide that you know the facts asked for do not exist. It's not working. Move on.

Oh, and since you want sources and are to lazy and ill-educated to google search "K2 Spice *insert state name here*

http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_25714288/feds-take-down-major-synt he tic-marijuana-drug-ring

"Twenty states had bans on the synthetic drug as of March, 2011."

Three years is a pretty long time to have your head stuck in the sand.

"According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it's estimated that one in nine high school seniors have tried the synthetic drugs.  The CDC also reported that calls to poison centers over the drugs rose from 2,900 in 2010 to 7,000 in 2011. Just within the first two months of 2012 there were 2,200 calls to the poison center over the drugs."

Like I farking said. THOUSANDS. Three seconds of searching. If you're too lazy for that, you shouldn't have kids, and if you do, I feel very, VERY sorry for them.

Come to think of it, you're too busy on Fark. If you had kids, you certainly don't appear to have any time for them, their education, your own education, etc.

What a goddamned shame.
