So we finally see what it takes to get a cop fired.

"I can't expect all police officers to be moral giants. They are people too,"

A comfortable place to take a dump would make Gandhi choke a biatch.

I actually don't see a problem here taking a crap in a clean and comfy bathroom is one of the few true pleasures in life.

Why would they need to break in?  Didn't they have a master key?

Agreed. Ever been in a South Korea highway rest stop? It'll change you. I'd rather drop a deuce in my socks.

It's not just morals, it's breaking and entering. Ostensibly, it's a felony.
The offending officer was punished severely, paying $158 and 'serving' a years probation.
The other officer has not had his hearing because he's on vacation. Disneyland, one presumes.

Nice to see an equal system of justice being meted out.

According to the article, the cop got fired. Where'd you get the "fine and probation" thing?

Also, it's not breaking and entering. That would require intent to commit a crime, and I don't think taking a dump is a crime.

Right?  Shooting dogs and random accidental people is a-ok.  Interior door in an unused hallway?  You're done.

While I won't disagree, when the detectives are complaining that the detectives' bathroom is "nasty" there's two immediate solutions that comes to mine.

1. The detectives shouldn't destroy their own bathroom.
2. The detectives should clean their own bathroom if they're upset about it being "nasty."

$158 and a year probation is from the article about a NJ police officer who had his wife shoot him in the leg in order to get disability insurance.

Well, we can't let the commoners shiat in the same place as us, can we?

This story is everything that's wrong with being a public employee: they don't get a key to city hall because they're not trusted. They have to crap in low class restrooms while the suits get hand lotion and toilet paper that doesn't break apart. Then when they break the rules it makes national news because everyone loves to hate a public employee.

What kind of person would do this kind of job? Usually, total dicks that are in it for the side benefits. Like the free skull knocks and drugs and hookers and now military equipment provided by Homeland Security.

Do the city hall suits clean their own restroom?

I've seen government(and non-government) bathrooms where cleanliness wasn't necessarily the issue.  Due to unrepaired problems they had nasty black mold problems, rotting/leaking fixtures, etc...

Of course the fix is to FIX their restroom and perhaps formally request access to the others while it's being fixed.

Came to make a snarky remark, but am just going to stop with these truths.

Isn't City Hall a public building?  Shouldn't it be able to be used by the public?
