His wife should have shot him in the ass. Then he could have claimed brain damage.

Someone should tell him it's just a saying, you're not actually supposed to do it.

He should shoot himself in his donut holding hand.  That should surely seal the deal.

I'm not sure he has a leg to stand on

obviously

Good. Plus, with no jail time he doesn't get to live off the government that way either.

Now he can get a job at IHOP.

Wait....have someone shoot your leg, just grazing it....and claim disability?  And blaming it all on a car accident?

I understand cops don't want to recruit those who score "too high" academically for fear they might get bored with their job, but surely they could aim a little higher than this genuis?

It is the Police Departments own fault.

If they didn't discriminate against smart people, they wouldn't have hired that farking idiot.

and yet deniers will say that it is an absurb statement that welfare moms will pop out more kids to get more monthly check.

While most sane people wont do dumb stuff like pop a kid out or shoot themselves for money, never underestimate the desire to not have to get a job and still get a monthly check.

The judgement as entered in official court records: "That'll do pig, that'll do."

"Sierchio also told the Philadelphia Inquirer it was "insane" the officer was not charged with a more serious offense and that Frett's wife wasn't charged."

Insane,  yes.

Surprising,  no.

It's a good thing that unions are nothing but benevolent awesomeness or else one might foresee this getting overturned by the police union so that taxpayer dollars go to this idiot.

A pension scammer in NJ?

I remember hearing on NJ101.5 that this guy would have received a pension of around 140K a year, 140K a year to do nothing.

That is a scam on the tax payers in NJ

This guy should be in prison for the rest of his life, along with his wife.

The board should deny his regular pension as well

ALL THESE UNIONS ARE YOURS EXCEPT POLICE UNIONS. ATTEMPT NO REGULATING THERE.

TFA says he was eligible to 66.6% of his salary. You're saying an NJ sergeant makes $210,000 a year?

The "old" Camden PD. Think all the bad things you can about them and then realize you're being too nice.
There may be a reason or two the force was disbanded.

Depends, is he politically connected?

210K a year would not be unheard of

This is NJ, the land of the overpaid public employee

I can't disclose specifics, but I see millions of 401k's, deferred compensation and pension plans.
When it comes to "civil service" (read as protected union) east or west coast is the place to work.

For now, maybe, until the state goes bankrupt or changes the pension payouts

Which they can do and will do eventually

Well, his base was $94,328 in 2009.

Are NJ cops pensions calculated on their base, or on base + OT + cashed out leave?

If it's the second, $210 isn't impossible but I wouldn't take it on faith.
