ManateeGag: I'm sure those kids paid for prom too. I hope they got their money back.
They say all the tests came back negative for alcohol but the district spokeswoman says because the students didn't arrive to prom until 10:30 p.m.-- by the time the testing was finished -- it was too late to go inside.
Theaetetus: If you pay for prom but don't bother showing up until it's almost over, what grounds do you have to demand your money back?
fatalvenom: "This is something that is a lifetime. They are never going to have it. They are never going to have it. You can't recreate it."Oh f*ck-off guy. I didn't go to my prom and I turned out OK./of course I didn't go to prom because it was more fun to drink and bang college chicks than try really hard just to get a handy from some prude high-school chick
ManateeGag: Theaetetus: If you pay for prom but don't bother showing up until it's almost over, what grounds do you have to demand your money back?I missed that part the first time around. i agree with you there. if you pay, show up on time/hooked on Phonics did not work for me.
Theaetetus: If you pay for prom but don't bother showing up until it's almost over, what grounds do you have to demand your money back? This is like the douche who shows up in the middle of the third act of a play and gets stopped from entering by the usher until the curtain drops, and then demands a full refund. No, at most you're entitled to a refund of those last 15 minutes, but really, it's your own fault for showing up so late. Next time, be on time.
blatz514: /didn't go to prom//homecoming is where it's at
Confabulat: If you've got a party bus who needs prom?
Nightenstaff: The sad part of this story is a school official is giving out breathalyzer tests to kids. There is no scenario in my mind where this is ok. If you have reason to believe a kid is publicly drunk, call the cops. Otherwise, how could anyone possibly be fine with this?
fusillade762: Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, might be having fun.blatz514: /didn't go to prom//homecoming is where it's atSenior all-night party. That's where I eventually got my hand down my prom date's pants.
abhorrent1: Why would you not show up until 10:30 if it wasn't because you were getting hammered. Double fail.
James10952001: Why can't we just accept the fact that some kids will break the rules and drink? If someone is acting intoxicated, then pull them aside and test them, then punish accordingly. Otherwise who cares? It's not as if the school is serving alcohol or letting them openly drink.
gaslight: Heck, I couldn't even be convinced to go to my high school graduation ceremony never mind the prom. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to go to their high school reunion. If that was the highlight of your life and you've had no achievements since then, I guess maybe but otherwise...?
ongbok: ManateeGag: I'm sure those kids paid for prom too. I hope they got their money back. Why? They show up at 10:30pm on a party bus that had alcohol on it. It was their fault. They showed up when it was almost over under circumstances that were going to get them tested. They caused the delay, and by showing up at the end, the delay they caused made them miss the prom.
