you forgot to add "Mr. Unreliable" as the OKC media dubbed him last week

Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Well deserved.  An awesome season and he still has parts of his game he needs to work on.  Here is hoping he continues to get better and that the Thunder can get past the Clippers.

This bears repeating.

Still, Durant is a decent fellow and I'm happy for him. I just hope he doesn't win anything until he gets out of OKC in two years.

Just heard on the radio that the Warriors fired Mark Jackson.  Just don't understand that one.

He and the owner, who is apparently involved in every little move, did not get along.

Two assistant coaches left this year.  Jackson tried to make a team with Curry and Thompson into the 1994 Knicks.

There have been rumblings of this happening for a while now.

PLEASE DONT GO BACK TO BROADCASTING!

I remember the rumblings, but I can buy the personality conflict as a reason to let him go.

The owner doesnt like the style of play he decided to implement because (according to Ric Bucker on this week's BS Report) the owner fancies himself a basketball guy.  He has also been criticized for late game management.

Its not entirely Jackson's fault they lost against the clippers their big australian went out early and they still made it a 7 game series.

I am not saying it is his fault.  What I am saying is the owner wanted to fire him no matter what.

Since there wasn't an NBA thread last night I'd like to be the first to say Go Zards!

Oh, and that there is NOTHING wrong with Roy Hibbert, in fact he's back to his usually soft and mopey self that everyone knew he was at Georgetown. The Roy Hibbert of last year's ECF went 20-10 on a team without any real centers that was happy to let him eat at the expense of wins. Indy got fleeced, but hopefully they'll write him into some more Parks & Rec(Or Brooklyn 9-9 he goes where his girl Chelsea Peretti goes) episodes.

Meh. Put me in the "It should be given to the best player, not the one with the gaudiest offensive numbers" camp.

He was pretty darn good earlier this year and was an early season candidate for Defensive Player of the Year.  The real Hibbert is somewhere between that Hibbert and this Hibbert.

Anyone remember this? http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Warriors-Mark-Jackson-has-2-stri k es-against-him-3690814.php

The good reverend did a good job of damage control.

WOW, that is like a 12 year old first finding out what rap is and trying to put words together that rhyme. Then he finds out that it is easier to rhyme a word with the exact same word or a word that contains the first word.

What if it is both.  Sometimes putting up outrageous numbers means you are impacting the game in a significant way.  There are seasons to complain about voter fatigue but this isnt one of them.  Almost everyone agrees that he earned the award this year.  It isnt like he is James Harden on the defensive end of the floor.

Your negativity forced me to look him up. You better sit down, this is truly outrageous

Pitchfork contributor Mike Powell notes that "The issue isn't whether or not Lil B fans are "indentured to the idea of ironic fulfillment," but whether or not Lil B haters are indentured to outmoded ideas of artistic credibility. He's not making art designed to last the test of time, so holding him to the standards of timeless art is pointless. Ultimately, my take with Lil B is that he keeps the price of entry to his world so low that complaining about him is a waste of energy. He offers himself to his audience for nothing-giving him nothing shouldn't be hard. Furthermore, I don't even know what "ironic" means in the context of Lil B. If he really didn't think that the world was a beautiful and endlessly amusing place, where does he find the energy to keep rapping about it for free?"[27]

Musical critic Willy Staley described Lil B's work as "variegated", because it ranges from critical parodies of the hip-hop genre to "half new age, half spoken word". He further notes that Lil B draws from a large variety of genres, especially those not commonly used by other rappers. In an interview with Staley, Lil B agrees with this analysis, saying, "I can do 'Swag OD' but then my favorite musical artist right now could be be Antony and the Johnsons. That's the difference between me and these other rappers, and other musical artists in general."

I agree.  I'd have given the MVP to Mike Trout.

Your headline looks like Vanna White went postal....and after all those letters,
how about a big finish?  "M-I-C....see you real soon......K-E-Y.....
why? because we like you....M-O-U-S-E......"
