While he has some talent, I have to point out that YES, songs that are in 4/4 time will still work when you swap out lyrics or any other pieces from another song in 4/4 time, as long as you get it in the right key.

I like that demonstration of how backing chords can be fitted to most any main vocals, but...

as nice as it kind of was, it gave "Jump!" a new meaning.  Somehow his composition seemed to be suggesting that I go ahead and "jump" - in a self-destructive way.

Just because you don't understand the math behind the music doesn't mean it's not there.

I always assumed that was what the song was about. Some kind of reverse psychology on suicide. "Nothing gets me down...might as well jump". Roth has been quoted several times saying that the idea came from watching a man on the news about to jump off a building. But then again, he was never particularly coherent.
