This is why I only move sand dunes a cup or two at a time.

No one ever knows who did it.

If you could successfully bulldoze it, then it wasn't very protected, now was it?

MFAWG: Rich people problems

A lot of people with oceanfront property are not rich, my family has one that has been in the family since the 1950s.  To have a mcmansion building asshat remove a protective sand dune that could cause major flooding and loss is a rich person being a problem not rich people problems.

The beach where my folks live have been doing the whole dune/beach grass plan for years now and got the whole community behind it. They have it all fenced off with paths through it so you can get to the beach. It actually looks nice and helps slow the beach erosion so they wont have to have the army corps of engineers come out every 10 years to replenish the beach.

So, they use beach grass to stabilize the slopes of the dune and keep it in one place, like in the book Dune?  Cool!

I hope they stick it too these asshats...  Make them rebuild the dune to appropriate standards within the next couple of months, and if they fail to do that, have the city do it and sent them a big bill.
