(Fox News)   Psst. Hey, Obama supporter. Lemme ask you a question: How would you feel about Obama using American tax dollars to fund Hamas? Oh, you wouldn't like it? Hm, interesting. You might want to sit down right now   (foxnews.com) divider line 204

With this logic, you can say that anything funds Hamas. Like clean drinking water. Or dollars. Or the UN. Run with that, Fox. The base will love it!

Surprising that it's police.  Most of these organizations provide social services as well.  Maybe the press doesn't let us know about the bad people getting money if they aren't carrying evil guns.

Since a lot of your tax dollars end up in the form of weapons to rebel groups in Syria who are linked to Al Quaeda, I don't see why there is all the butthurt.

When your FOX-watching co-workers bring this up, ask them to explain what Hamas is.

It's also fun to ask them to name three amendments in the Bill of Rights.

That sounds like a great idea. I am sure you will enjoy 25 dollar a gallon gas, and no products imported from other countries. More unrest, death and disease without American funded aid programs, and the many other negative consequences. But I don't expect too much from libertarians, they were never good at critical thinking, that is why Ayn Rand became your hero as a teenager.

What he said is hardly an exclusively "Libertarian" view.
Indeed - your view that the entire world will collapse into chaos and disarray the moment America stops riding around on her big, expensive white horse fixing everybody else's troubles is your subjective opinion, neither consisting of or necessarily even derived from fact.
You're entitled to it - but I, for one, think it's horseshiat.
And that's MY personal opinion - worth exactly as much as yours.
Have a nice day!

The United States provides additional assistance that falls outside of the DAC's definition, including security and narcotics aid, and some emergency assistance in response to natural disasters.  When including these types of assistance, the US foreign aid budget comprises roughly 1.4 percent of the federal budget.

It's irrelevant. I don't have to be broke to not spend money on shiat I don't need or want - and something I don't need or want is any part of the human cesspool that is the middle east.

Sci Fi.  Large.  Not connected to anything manageble.  Fiction.  Is this where the armchair economist dogpile starts?  Cause, frankly, all economists are armchair economists and haf so far, helped get us precisely, here.  I am vastly unimpressed with the play by play announcer faction of wise and mind guild of economists.

Which is sort of why Reagan's Pie in the Sky was reined in, and cost his successor his second term...

Everyone is all about budget austerity until it comes down to their own districts and industries.  Then it's vital. Here's a hint: no one likes taxes, but damned if they don't like the services. And the security. You want to rein in the US government's spending? Let's look at the military budget for starters. Or, I suppose we could look at education and science R&D...

I think chipping away at everything but he Holy Coporate Tax Free Sector Profits™ will likely work out very badly, eventually.
