Here's the curfew in the city code.  ACLU affiliates and others have challenged these youth curfews around the country with mixed results.  They create a presumptive status crime, and they give police lots of discretion.  A youth curfew may be unconstitutional if the exceptions are not broad enough to allow the precious snowflakes to exercise their fundamental rights, such as engaging in protected expression or going about freely from place to place.

I have an aunt that lives in Muscatine, Iowa.  I remember thinking curfew was actually kind of fun as a kid.  It was like you could play hide and seek with people that were paid to look for you.  Sure they had guns and were probably really pissed off but that just kind of put an edge to the whole game.  It was the emotional equivalent of playing "Button button who has the button" with a nuclear suitcase.

Sounded like something from the Hunger Games

I actually got arrested for curfew violation.  Just going to a buddy's house to spend the night playing video games and watch movies or whatever teenagers do.  No alcohol, no drugs, nothing but curfew.  Handcuffed, taken to the police station, the works.

I actually thought the whole thing was kinda funny.  My parents weren't happy to have to pick me up in the middle of the night- but their anger was directed at the cop, so I was off the hook.

How is this even remotely constitutional?  It's house arrest for the crime of being younger than 18.

Paulsboro is a ghetto wasteland of crime and chemicals. My mothers family grew up there, and I lived 5 miles from it for 30 some years..  It used to be a nice town.. Used.. Now it's a shiathole

/only place worth going to is Don and Berts Custard stand,.

Am I the only one who saw the first "Silent Hill" movie?

Now THAT is a curfew!

There's nothing like government having to step in and force behavioral changes because some parents spend no effort taking responsibility for their minor children's unsupervised actions.

Good to hear they've solved their problems with 15-20 year olds.  Once they deal with the 20-25 year olds they can start to work on the 25-30 year olds.
