That's probably the least impressive parkour video I've seen, outside of the ones where it's just some shlub who tries a back flip and busts his ass.

Parkour seems like it wastes a lot more energy than it should. Why all the flipping if the goal is simply to get from point A to point B?

It's good, but the "artistic" camera angle ruin so much of it because the point of these videos is to see the entire moves, not to have him jump off screen.

Bingo! Awful, awful editing and cinematography.

It looks like it's supposed to be cheap viral advertising for the movie, which I hear is crap.

I don't know.  Maybe it's something like angular momentum = stability and predictability.

Works best when angular momentum=0.

I think that was actually frowned upon in the beginning of the sport. Some traceurs were all about getting from point A to B, regardless of how the environment looked, while others tried to insert all kinds of tricks into that. Not sure whether that's the difference between "parkour" and "freerunning" or if that is a totally different holy war...

So when do those two Provo cops get in trouble for appearing in a YouTube video with their guns drawn?

I can't imagine the chief approving that.

Reward? Punishment? anyway, coming up with what should have been so obvious but obviously wasn't, got you a free month of Total Fark.

Bon appétit!

I know those parkour people are amazingly fit and athletic, but I can't help but wonder how their joints will feel when they're older.  I know I'm starting to feel the fun I had when I was younger.

I like the idea but it seemed like this person was just "meh" at parkour.  Some of the other parkour videos have much more talented people in them.

Depends on if they shot the guy while he was tied up... if they shot him, they'll be in the clear and get some paid vacation time as a bonus.

Who's going to pay when the roof and the drain pipes leak, that's what I want to know. Quit jumping on people's roofs, Spiderman. You cock.

Huh, I learned something. So Freerunning is more acrobatic in nature, with all the flips and embellishments and so on, while Parkour is more 'get through your environment creatively'? That's what I'm gathering from the Wikipedia articles on both, at least.

Parkour is more the art of mastering freedom of travel one's environment with a minimum of time and energy. Flips are
controversial in Parkour because they seem to do little is accomplishing that goal.

/once picked up a book in Parkour

Terrible. The way that was edited, that could have just been some schlub busting his ass after every jump, and climbing up a few rungs of various ladders.

Worst. Video. Ever.

/rest assured I was on the internet within minutes, registering my disgust throughout the world.
