It's working great, @sshole. Thank you for asking. Osama bin Laden and Gaddafi are dead, we've finally wound down the Iraq debacle started by the previous warmongering administration, and we're GTFO of Afghanistan. We have absolutely no control over soccer hooligans rioting in Ukraine, but thanks for assuming Obama was so amazing that he could stop that if he wanted to. Have a delightful Sunday.

It is not Brave Defenders of Democracy Across the World who are going to stop Putin, but internal Russian problems.

There are plenty of innocent blood flowing across the world. Why don't you go stop some other dictator? I mean, there is Libya that was bravely freed from the clutches of the authoritarian regime some years ago. Now it's a hellhole where blood flows freely. Just yesterday at least 10 more people were killed in a civil war there, just in the city of Benghazi.

Why don't you turn your attention there for a change? Leave Putin to Europe. Stop trying to solve internal problems of Ukraine - yes, caused, no doubt, by Russian propaganda, but still in vast majority internal - by trying to incite more violence! And stop promoting guns as a solution to everything - they kill each other aplenty without guns!

The group in Odessa didn't have any of the hardware. Oh, come on.

That's not confirmation. First of all, "separatists set themselves on fire", while it's absolutely farking clear on videos that at least 10 molotov's cocktales went from pro-Maidan side into the building, causing a particularly large and spreading fire in the second store of the building, on the right side, while the single incident of self-inflicted fire on the third store have happened relatively early in the confrontation and went out relatively quickly, without spreading? Really?

Secondly, "UNIAN reports citing the Interior Ministry" is not a confirmation, it's a rumor. The article from UNIAN in the next day says "3 of those arrested are confirmed as Russian citizens" - you can use google translator.  http://www.unian.net/politics/914246-sbu-i-mid-rossiyane-prichastnyi- k -provokatsiyam-i-besporyadkam-v-odesse.html

That's what confirmation is, and 3 out of 127 is not a majority.

If anyone is interested in what happens in Odessa now, instead of 2 days ago: a thousand or so pro-Russian protesters gathered around police building in Odessa, demanding freedom for those arrested 2.05.

After couple of hours of standoff all 67 arrested were let go by police. It is said that they all were pro-Russians.

Standoff continues, protesters demand those arrested who were moved outside of Odessa to be brought back.

Kiev's government declared that they have fired all the top of Odessa's police. Like, every single one of the higher police ranks.

/Anyone? Please?

No one knows.

Okay, you got the pro-Ukrainian forces we'll call Ukes and you got the pro-Russian forces we'll call Semes.  A major soccer game went down, and since both My Politics and My Team are defined by geography, it was semes vs. ukes both in the game and in the streets.

So the semes showed up ready to riot and the ukes did the same, doesn't matter who started it, the rumble was gonna happen.

The semes were outnumbered though, so despite showing up for a fight they lost and started running.  They fled to a building where they barricaded and started throwing molotov cocktails.  Ukes responded in kind and suddenly the barricaded building was on fire.  From the looks of things the Semes started the fire inside by accident, but in a fight like this no one is going to say, "yeah, my side screwed up," so it's finger-pointing and screaming all around.

Now some of the Ukes helped some of the Semes escape, but at least 32 Semes were trapped by the mob or the fear and burned to death inside the building.

What happened was that pro-Russian gunmen attacked a group of pro-Ukrainian demonstrators, resulting in a running gunbattle between the pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian groups, ending with the pro-Russians being holed up in the trade building, where they continued to fire at the pro-Ukrainian militants outside from. Then the pro-Ukrainians set the building on fire with molotov cocktails, and 30-some of the Pro-Russian group died in the burning building. I've heard some reports that molotovs were being thrown both into and out of the building, but I don't know if that's true.

The police in Odessa, meanwhile, apparently stood by and did next to nothing either when the pro-Russians were attacking the Ukrainian group or at the burning trade building, although they apparently did try and keep some separated pro-Russian militants from being beaten to death by mobs.

Whole thing's farked up.
