this thread is far too long for me to read the whole thing, but i have to make a couple of points

1. i've never had a taco i didn't like
2. however, for a list of "best" tacos, i'm shocked to see several featuring iceberg and cheddar
3. also shocked there weren't more dallas/ft worth places. i can't blink without missing a place that sells tacos. heck, 2 routes i can take to work take me thru parts of north ft worth, aka "little mexico". every gas station there sells freshly cooked food, plus there are numerous restaurants and some trucks/trailers selling food...smells really good in the afternoon, but i'm usually on my way home to homecooked meals when i smell those smells, so i haven't tested many of them
4. i've had really good taco truck tacos in hope, arkansas. if you can get them in hope, ar, they aren't that sacred

Tucson, AZ is the Mexican Food Capital of the USA (and birthplace of the chimichanga), but not ONE mention of AZ.

BLASPHEMERS!!!

Wellallright!: Chicago and/or NY for tacos...
Riiiiight.

The 100 worst taco joints in NM, AZ, CO, TX and CA are better than anything Chicago or NY can dream of. Should stick to pizza wars.

NY doesn't have much in my experience, but you obviously have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to
Chicago.  Chicago has a huge Mexican population and tons of awesome taquerias.  Seriously, Chicago has amazing Mexican food.  Go to Pilsen, Little Village, even some great places on the near west/north side like Wicker Park and Logan Square.

I have to agree with Draino.  Even Joliet, IL has some great Mexican food.

I'm sorry, but any list that includes the words "Best tacos" and covers Los Angeles, and includes farking Hugo's Tacos and farking Tito's Tacos was written by a person with no taste buds and mild retardation.

This person's opinion is made of poo-poo.

I'm always leery of taking food advice from someone from Illinois, has a coworker from that way who's idea of good food had to include the words all you can eat, and then there's farkers like the English Major

I live in Oklahoma, where we have our fair share of Mex and Tex-Mex food.  I've also spent plenty of time in San Diego, Chicago, and a few visits New Mexico as well as Mexico itself.  If Draino is from Chicago, at least he speaks the truth about the availability of good Mexican food there.
