So the judge feels this woman being hacked to death by a cleaver-wielding schizophrenic hearing the voice of god is not a total loss and actually may be a gift because judge is 100% certain the dead victim is now prancing gleefully with rainbow-pooping unicorns in heaven???

Even state Supreme Court Justice Edward McLaughlin said the case was so tragic he couldn't find it in himself to be angry. Instead, he talked about his own family's similarity to the Faugheys' and his certainty that the slain therapist was now experiencing "the most gleeful existence possible."

So not only does the defendant talk to God, so does the judge.
