I wonder if he and Mark Hamill ever wowed the ladies with some Alfred vs Joker banter?

He was pretty ancient looking as William Edgars in Babylon 5's 4th season.  And that was in about 1996.

He was also the father of Remington Steele. The real one.

You know I don't think those two character ever met in TAS, that would have been awesome.

The family owns a place in my hometown. Used to see them around every once in a while, even in church.

When you're thirteen and Laura Holt sits in the next pew...no, mom, I don't know what the sermon was about.

Damn, what a hell of a name; Efram Zimbalist. Sounds like a goddamn super-hero. Sounds like someone who'd have inherited the mantle of Supreme Sorcerer.

/also yes, sad to see Alfred go
//but at least it got to live with that kickass name all his life

His dad was a famous violinist, so his name was famous before he was.

Man, I loved The FBI, and it was one of the first things I watched on Hulu. I'm glad it turns out he will be fondly remembered by an apparently new generation of fans.

Was amazed to learn he's actually been working all these years - nothing much big, but earning his living.

By the time the alarm goes off, I can be running full bore somewhere between Needles and Death Valley - jamming the accelerator through the floorboard and shaking my fist up at Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., swooping down on me in his FBI/Screaming Eagle helicopter.

See if your cable provider has METV.  There's an episode on Sundays.  Used to be in their weekly primetime lineup, it might return.

"The FBI" was the first cop show I ever watched when I was a wee lass. Even then, I thought Efram Zimbalist Jr. was too good to be a cop.
