I'd watch a pro-creationism film if the opening credits were set to the Night Court theme.

(Well, I'd watch the opening credits at least)

All this, and he's on the old end of the scale now.  I grant a special exception to older people.  You can be a racist homophobe creationist and I'll cease to give a fark if you're 80 years old.(he's more like 72 or so, but close enough).

The ratio of pants shiattingly crazy in old people is sad, but it's a fact of life.  Sure, I may wish the really vile ones, (and some can be very very bad) would go ahead and die already, but they don't make me as annoyed as younger people that have no excuse.

Really, crazy happens in young people too, but they gain credit with their youth because they look normal.  Society gives them a break by default.  That's what's most annoying.

Pascal's Wager is a coward's bet and an insult to the God it attempts to convince you to worship. It's used by people who think God is so stupid that He can't see into your mind and no that you don't have faith, you are just scared of Hell. And that's not even accounting for the fact that you could be following the wrong god or the right god in the wrong way.

It means that they don't know the difference between abiogenesis and spontaneous generation. Or, rather, they do, they just try to conflate them. Which is funny because they believe we're made from dust. It's like they don't have clue 1 about what they beleive.

I find the blind arrogant assumption of there only being two possible states (one, no God, and two, the shallow needy stupid being you describe) to be far worse.  It's not a two horse race.  Why isn't Odin, who says you have to die in battle with a sword in your hand to get to the "good" heaven, in the running?  Where are the evil gnostic demiurges and dread cthonic elder beings who swallow your soul if you get tricked into worshipping them?  What about Sam, my neighbor's dog, who keeps telling me to kill people?  Should I follow him?  He sounds legit.  After all, he's a dog and he can talk, that's pretty amazing you must admit.
