The dog probably didn't hit on the car. Seriously, has anyone ever heard of a dog not hitting on something and the cop saying "well, I guess you're free to go?". If they want to search your car they will. I'm talking about traffic stops, not border crossings.

I hope the cop gets fired and the dog an early retirement, adopted by a normal family. I would argue any future searches could be challenged since he was abused by a cop.

Maybe the cop was blind and he was just taking a look around.

FIRE HIS WANNA BE COP ASS

PUT THAT CAMERA DOWN!
Making video is the same as shooting, and only cops are allowed to shoot dogs.

A NC Highway Patrolmen was busted for beating his K9 a few years ago

The video of him beating the dog is on youtube if you feel like you need to see it

I hope the dog bites him in the dick.

That dog looks pretty mad

Chief Wiggum: Yeah, I've been starving them, teasing them, singing off key...

" kicking them, whipping them with their lease and holding them in the air".

He learned from the best.

If a civilian did the same thing to a police dog, he would be charged with assaulting an officer. Why isn't the cop subject to the same laws?

Lease= leash

What a cock. I hope someday when the asshole counts on the dog for help he says fark you and that asshole gets repeatedly stabbed.

The dog should have complied with the officer's lawful orders in a more timely fashion.

He'll get a few days' paid administrative leave and he'll be back on duty in no time, abusing that dog and any others he comes across.

Probably the same reason cops speed like maniacs and don't get tickets. There are 2 sets of rules. One for them and one for citizens. Now move along.

What? Who's ever heard of a police officer hurting a dog?

(That's the joke.)

2014-05-02 09:42:42 AM
A member of the public doing the same would be going to prison for a very long time, charged as if these actions had been committed against a human. This guy might have to take a couple weeks off with pay.

I'm all for paying cops a much higher salary.

And executing them if they themselves break the laws they are SWORN to uphold. We need a much smarter, higher class of individual than our current crop of roided out ex military ptsd victims.

I've had the dog not hit, but the cop said he hit anyway.  I was sitting on the curb watching, and he taps his finger on a spot where the trunk lid met up with the quarter panel, dog has a quick look, makes no sound or anything like that, keeps on moving.  "Sir, the dog got a hit around your trunk.  We'll be searching the vehicle."  Best part?  I was on my way back from a trip, so there was a bunch of clothing and tools in a suitcase and hardshell, which he took out and left lying all over the inside of the trunk when he was done.  Picking up my clothes and tools was just what I wanted to do at 1AM when I got home from 10 days straight working 14-16 hrs before going back to a crappy motel and crappy diner in the middle of nowhere.

And then they wonder why we all f*cking hate them.  Couple years ago a cop got beaten senseless in one of the city parks here, in front of a couple dozen witnesses who did nothing.  Then the police chief was ranting in the WSJ about "How could this happen?  Why didn't anyone help this officer? What's wrong with this community?"  I suppose to them what's wrong is we don't thank them for the abuse.

Psylence: roided out ex military ptsd victims.

Careful now, that's dangerous talk. Cops are the bullys in high school that couldn't get anything more than a fast-food job for low pay. They needed something to give them the power they had back in school again, and to screw with people they don't like.

Ex- Military Members Suffering From PTSD is a tragic reality of what war does to a human, and in no way should ever be associated with the scum-sucking excuses of human beings that all Bad Cops are.

Now, farking apologize.

Hey, frankly I'd rather our ex military get proper treatment and care and NOT be shoved back into the workforce immediately. Sad reality is America don't work that way. I'll half take that one back; I've been to too many Police Industry trade shows in my line of work to fully recant.

" It looks like this guy is "outing" the reward from the dog. He's "choking him out" to get him to spit it out, but the way he is doing it is NOT an acceptable method. As well trained as the dogs are, they're still dogs and sometimes they don't want to give up their reward. But, just judging this video alone, this guy wasn't pissed at his dog, he wasn't randomly beating his dog, he choose an extremely heavy hand at getting the reward back. Incredibly stupid."

I have a relative who is a K-9 handler, this is her assessment of the video.

The ones I used to watch being trained near Conn Barracks in Schweinfurt Germany were never beat, at least I never saw them being beat.

Came here to say that. Im dont think a dog and human should be equals really. Im guessing the main reason someone would hit a police dog was because the dog was biting their arse.

lucky he doesn't have to answer for his crimes like a normal citizen that would be assaulting a police officer.

From Wiki's article about animal cruelty.

One of the known warning signs of certain psychopathologies, including antisocial personality disorder, also known as psychopathic personality disorder, is a history of torturing pets and small animals, a behavior known as zoosadism. According to the New York Times, "[t]he FBI has found that a history of cruelty to animals is one of the traits that regularly appears in its computer records of serial rapists and murderers, and the standard diagnostic and treatment manual for psychiatric and emotional disorders lists cruelty to animals a diagnostic criterion for conduct disorders.

"A survey of psychiatric patients who had repeatedly tortured dogs and cats found all of them had high levels of aggression toward people as well, including one patient who had murdered a young boy. Robert K. Ressler, an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation's behavioral sciences unit, studied serial killers and noted,"Murderers like this (Jeffrey Dahmer) very often start out by killing and torturing animals as kids."

Cruelty to animals is one of the three components of the Macdonald triad, indicators of violent antisocial behavior in children and adolescents. According to the studies used to form this model, cruelty to animals is a common (but not universal) behavior in children and adolescents who grow up to become serial killers and other violent criminals.
It has also been found that children who are cruel to animals have often witnessed or been victims of abuse themselves. In two separate studies cited by the Humane Society of the United States roughly one-third of families suffering from domestic abuse indicated that at least one child had hurt or killed a pet.

What farking waste of flesh. Cops think everyone (including dogs) these days owes their well-being, safety, even their lives to cops' desire to feel in control of any given situation.

I hope this cop never has a happy moment the rest of his miserable life.

Of course not, because then he would've been held accountable for it.
