We would need a joint savings account for bail money...

laulaja: Series of pix of "cute baby animals" on main pg later'n us.  Took too long getting here, link died en route.
Absence since last time caused by 2 recycle runs: plastic mostly H2O bottles to Kuliga Park (SW in Delhi Twp, "Garden Spot of OH" say their community-border signs) & cardboard, paper & aluminium tins (squashed, they & plastic bottles all from HarmonyLodge) to Monfort Hts Elem who get $$ therefrom.
Just realised, this is 1st yr in almost forever that we haven't watched the Derby!  Didna get home from recycle run in time to hear, so don't even know who won. Why did I think there was a Sport location here?[i.imgur.com image 563x369]So my friend received a 5lb gummi bear as a gift. Naturally, this is what he did with it...subbed by JaxenGrey 10 hrs ago.

What a coincidence! Last night my nieces husband was telling me about some hilarious Amazon reviews for Haribo sugar-free gummy bears! Link

Real Women Drink Akvavit: tigerose: I would explain to the good doc that you just want the shots, no exam, because they are ferals, as far as you know. They should be willing to wand them for a chip without charge..or ask if you get abherd discount if you bring in 2 or more kittehs.

I should have thought of that! Thanks! I'm working on getting Sir Earl the Grey more manageable, and I'm telling myself he shouldn't be too hard. Well, I HOPE not. Someone got a flea collar on him at one point, but he seems to be the cat version of a fear biter and he's afraid of EVERYTHING. Especially other cats, though. He screams like he's being murdered if they even try to come up to him and then tries to attack them if he's cornered - or if they're between him and some food. He may be a bit of a challenge, but I'm hoping it's still not as bad or as long a process as dealing with a truly feral cat. He did let me pick him up the other day, but I've always been much better with cats than most other folks AND I'm the one who's been feeding him, so who knows how he'll act with others and in a strange environment when I save the $$$ to take him in.

[funnyasduck.net image 550x442]
/Earl's a neutered male, so I don't have to worry about that part at least

Ask your vet about Ace tablets, aka tranquilizers..  crush the pill into food... 30 minutes later, lala land... that's how I got Fred to the vet...  first vet visit, first cat carrier trip... no problems..... when I picked him up to come home, no argument, he knew where he was going and purred all the way....

John Buck 41: maynerdkitty: he loves peppermints and Guinness stout.

Smart horse.

He is a very smart horse, too smart for his own good sometimes!
The vet prescribed the beer for him and Castle when they lived in AL. The weather was so hot and humid that they had stopped sweating. The vet said they use Guinness at the track  to get horses to sweat again. I ordered the medicine for them but I had to give them beers with breakfast and dinner for a week before the meds came.
Now if you carry a beer into the paddock Mountain will distract you with something cute while Castle steals the beer.

House work here. Needed to finish organizing the desk drawers (and getting the piles of papers, etc off the floor) before my brother brings over the new cat tree. I had it shipped to him so he could put it together for me.

Old one (ya think it is about time to replace it?)

The new one looks very spiffy, how long before it looks just like the old one?

Good evening Caturday, Kinda glad I was asleep all day, missed all the snow coming down (even if it is still coming down out there).  Called mum for her birthday, and now to wish Hector the happy birfday too.

Got to check up on B the 8 legged, she was sitting on top of her foam log house adding more webs.  Even for her it was housework today.

Hope all are feeling better or still good, and hope tonight goes nice and quietly (after the hockey game is over)

And a cat:

This one's a couple of weeks old, but you can still make out a little of his....um....'muscular' stature.

He's passed out in bed now. Him and Wolf have been chasing each other all over the basement this evening.
I need newer pics of the whole zoo. It's been a while.

Yes, you can substitute vermouth for wine. I've used it when pan cooking steaks and chicken and I've had very good luck. I'm not much of a cook though, so it won't hurt my feelings if you wait for one of our pros to weigh in. ;-)

Dougie AXP: I dare you all not to go into diabetic shock after viewing this photo.

This was taken by my friends wife. These are two ferals that they took in during the winter to keep them safe. This could be straight out of a kitten calendar.

The Black/White/Orange one is the mom, the orange and white one is her son.
